When I saw it live I immediately thought he was knocked out. How the fuck they didn’t even give him a HIA (that I could see) I do not know. I also thought it was a red card all day long. What Dallaglio was thinking I don’t know either.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:The Welsh don't care - have flagged it a couple of times on their board. But 74 mins, that's North out cold again briefly. How can professional organisation keep doing this to a human being? He's obviously in denial but someone in the management team needs to say to him look mate... this is bad...

I see the Welsh are up in arms about the ref... didn't think he was all that bad tbh. Anyone agree with them?

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Well that was an interesting shout.switchskier wrote:England by 18. Comfortable all game but Wales to get a late score to put a false gloss on itChunks Baws wrote:Obviously people's health comes first but it's absolutely shite having no game until after 4
How do we see England v Wales going? An England win for me.
Right on North too, Hugh.

Donny osmond wrote:Yeah can't see Wales winning this one, England playing with a lot of intensity. Wales best chance might be if an English players lets the intensity get the better of them and gets an early bath, which could easily happen on the evidence of the first 15 mins.switchskier wrote:England by 18. Anyone else see the English prop playing with AWJ's willy?

The perils of trying to predict a game. Was feeling good about it with a 27 point margin and ten minutes left too.Mikey Brown wrote:Well that was an interesting shout.switchskier wrote:England by 18. should have carded Farrell early on for the forearm to head. Should have carded Sinkler for trying twice to stop a quick lineout (twice on same play). And late yc should have been earlier. TMO should have picked up the bag snatch - which should be a minimum 12 week banDonny osmond wrote:I see the Welsh are up in arms about the ref... didn't think he was all that bad tbh. But snide Eddie Jones is accusing the ref of being the 16th welsh player and that the red card was rubbish

Fairly typical recent English performance. They look unbeatable when they are on top and their defence can look amazing but they're still a bit brain dead.
To me, Farrell was lucky not to get an early card. If you've just been warned for an off the ball shove, you shouldn't get away with shoving a guy in the back off the ball (even if it is Dan Bigger). I think Tuilagi deserves a big ban for that. Didn't strike the head cleanly but completely reckless.
I also think rugby as a whole needs to wake up to multiple infringements in the same phase (or advantages that end up getting used). Sometimes the penalty counts look quite even but you could multiply one team's by two.

Marler and Parkes could easily have walked during the game.Donny osmond wrote:I see the Welsh are up in arms about the ref... didn't think he was all that bad tbh. Anyone agree with them?

Could have been a couple of yellows too.
But, England v Wales will/should always be fiery which often will lead to controversy one way or another.
Cameo, that's a very good point regarding the penas (Gaelic coverage feels so long ago!) count.

Penas! Class. I remember when people would say it at Murrayfield. If anyone’s going today, please shout it. Need to get it going again.Big D wrote:

One or two other Welsh player "welfare" issues..hugh_woatmeigh wrote:The Welsh don't care - have flagged it a couple of times on their board. But 74 mins, that's North out cold again briefly. How can professional organisation keep doing this to a human being? .
Previous game Adams obviously had knackered ankle ligaments.
A couple of yards of Elastoplast later and he`s hobbling around "running it off ".
Off to the operating theatre eventually.
Anscombe, last year, pre. World Cup.
Twisted knee, furrowed brows from physios, but hey, just play on son, you`re Welsh.
Few minutes later, another twang, this time it`s months out for ACL repair.
All the best to North...
