30 years ago today...

Ancient history and all seems a bit inconsequential at the moment...but I was there and it was bloody brilliant.

The 90s had some another couple of high points but shame that our fallow period has lasted so long.

Don`t want to sound Welsh, but that 1990 team were (probably) deprived of a first win over NZ (second test) by a one eyed refereeing performance by Derek Bevan.
Even the NZ commentators expressed some disbelief...

You lot are lucky. I can only hope I see us realise our potential (at least for a little while) in my lifetime.

Dunno what has happened to this link but it has some highlights of each game that year. Rugby at its best back that looked such chaotic fun (plenty of turgid games I'm sure too). Don't think it could have survived the modern world in that state though - there's be howls of outrage after every game about missed indiscretions
