If the UK wasn't in the EU......

Post by UGagain »

........ and you were asked to vote whether to join the EU or not, which way would you vote?
As for the maths. There are mathematic 'theories' on both sides, they are not the same as mathematical facts. I asked for maths.

The EU would be very different without the UK. Lots of things would be different. (Probably for the better)

Not my point. Given the horrendous state of the EU now, who would vote to join it?

What makes you say the EU would be better without the UK?

So much fun destroying whole countries. Crushing unions and pensioners is a hoot.

Its no secret that the UK is not the most europhile country and EU construction has been affected by this.

The Europeans, and especially the Germans, have been perfectly capable of being irrational neoliberal nincompoops without any help from the UK.

Germany probably has the worst economists in the world.

Then we could talk about Mitterand, Delors etc and their monetarist ways.

And all beholden to the USA anyway.

For all the talk of crap British politicians, we don't have anyone to rival Guy Verhofstadt, Juncker, Santer, van Rompuy, etc. Somewhat of a Benelux feel there...

The UK has plenty of venal idiots too. In both parties. And many more war criminals.
