Having watched the Wibble video, I did indeed have my first re-watch of the game today.

Interesting to watch out for his observations, but as often as we did what he pointed out, we didn't.

Some thoughts having re-watched the game fully sober and knowing the result.

Hanson must wake up every morning in a cold sweat with the image of a team sheet with 6. S Barrett on it. He had a dismal 40 minutes, topped by a brainless penalty at the end.

I remember the last 15 minutes being absolutely nerve shredding, but on reflection that was because of what AB sides have done in the past. They didn't really put together any sustained pressure. Yes they broke a couple of times out wide, but that was mainly down to Nige letting them get away with throwing NFL style passes, and we used the touchlines really well to stifle them. They were dead on their feet from about 50 minutes, which is no surprise as Read and Moody looked like they were blowing by the scrum midway through the first half.

We had the possession and territory to have scored a lot more points, even with the 2 chalked off tries. We lack cutting edge in the backs.

For all we played well in defence and up front, New Zealand were dreadful. We were far from fault free but still managed to look comfortable throughout. Their kicking was dismal so they couldn't relieve pressure, the locks looked their age. and I dread to think about the anger on here if England had stuck so closely to a plan A that clearly was very clearly getting stuffed from the get go.
