Watson's doing the handjive after giving that penalty.

The best kind of legal cheap shot from Tindall on Gregan.

What a beautifully constructed try. For all the whining about Wilkinson's boot, Australia's try came from a cross-kick, while England's came from Wilkinson running and timing his pass.

I think there's one more person in the room. Anyone want to admit to spending their evening with us?!

The first half was fun. I vaguely remember endless frustrating Oz scrum penalties for no apparent reason

That's the story of this half, if memory serves.

That is an incredibly stupid penalty to give away by Dallaglio.

That is a nonsense penalty. It wasn't crossing in the slightest - he never went behind him! Thought about it and then turned back without ever going behind him. Not a single tackler blocked.

"I'm not going to guess," says the referee, one scrum reset before he promptly guesses.

And that penalty was a nonsense as well. What did Vickery do wrong?

Watson had a shocking second half. Literally every decision went against England, even down to 50/50s on knock-ons.

How is that no advantage from the knock on?! Australia won the ball cleanly and played it out a phase!

And that penalty was entirely Watson taking the hump with Johnson talking back to him. What a kn*b. Watson's given them half their points out of nothing.

I remember feeling how utterly unfair it was - we'd dominated the game and had far outplayed Australia, only for them to be given a second chance by the ref being petty and blowing for a penalty before the scrum had even finished collapsing. I'd've held a grudge forever if we'd gone on to lose.

I don't get why that's a penalty either. Lewsey knocked on, but it's loose ball and I don't see why Johnson's not entitled to dive on it. He wasn't offside, it wasn't a ruck, he was completely legal to dive on it.

Catt's been really effective on the crash ball. That's the second time he's carried hard and fast and made significant ground.

Probably wouldn't have been needed if we'd knocked it off after the first couple didn't work and the weather got worse.
