TdG is doing quite well it looks like

Pity about his Alex Goode moment yesterday.
Running the ball back, picked his spot to attack, accelerated, realised the defence was organised there, slowed right down, danced a little jig, got knocked backwards.

Generally though if he turns into a pacey Alex Goode, I'll be very happy, and moments like the above should be easily coachable

Yep. Bath are looking very well-drilled and organised even when they’ve rotated. If Henry Thomas can get back to fitness, it will also lighten the load on Stuart who looks tired after a strong start to the rebooted season.

Finge players like Matavesi and Reid the up-and-coming players like TdG, Redpath and Bayliss have really stepped up.

Right now, I wouldn’t put it past them making the final.

Yep. Brought in to address a significant weakness in our line out and to massively improve the second row.

Big loss. With him I'd have given us a shot vs Exeter in a one off final. As yesterday shows, without him we're going to be hanging on to 4th and getting a doing at Sandy park in the semis if we manage it.

I think the bigger worry for de Jager is the repetition of an already similar injury. You can’t avoid using your shoulders in rugby (although some have tried quite hard), so you’re continually putting a weak spot in the firing line.

Unfortunately that’s more or less what happened with Jack Clifford’s enforced retirement.
