Something of a surprise. I picked the wrong game to watch it seems.

About 25/26 mins. In the build up to Irish's first try.

Pretty sure it was Hinkley I saw being carried off (upright, at least) just as I tuned in.

Yep. Went off after about 60 mins. Had done pretty well up until then. Busy and industrious. Good carries. Did miss a few tackles.

His stats if believable are impressive in attck, 13 carries for 76 yards in 60 mins. 3 of 12 tackles missed and a couple of turnovers less great, but still a good effort going forwards!

Definitely. He looked lively from what I saw.

Really liked the look of him at age group level, slightly Willis-esque I thought in terms of attitude.

Yes, with a bit more of a ball player / dynamic carrier / link player about him. Always liked Hinkley. Don't know what has gone wrong (or rather not happened) so far in bridging schools into adult rugby. He seems to have everything you'd want to make that transition and make it well.

Is he more of an openside just slotting in as 8 for Exeter the way Kvesic was?

Definitely more of an openside, or certainly where he's played almost exclusively. Don't know about slotting in, or maybe they see him more as an 8?? Dunno. I didn't think he looked out of place.
