Re: The final round
If Sale win this, I both do, and don't, hope they play Wasps. I love for us to be the ones to kick them out, but don't want to be potentially exposed.
I'd much rather it was called off. I don't really want Wuss to win by 91 points, because then Saints are double punished.

Re: The final round
Sale has obviously noticed a void for most hated club in the Premiership for next season, what with Saracens going down, and decided to fill it. This whole situation is ridiculous and stinks of cronyism.

Diamonds always had the title for DOR/Head coach, now he's trying to extend it to the whole club.Adam_P wrote:Sale has obviously noticed a void for most hated club in the Premiership for next season, what with Saracens going down, and decided to fill it. What?, cronyism, from 'Honest' Steve Diamond the dodgy used car salesman of premiership managers and his former front row buddy in premiership rugby. I is shocked I tells ya.......Adam_P wrote:Sale has obviously noticed a void for most hated club in the Premiership for next season, what with Saracens going down, and decided to fill it. Game off after a further EIGHT positive tests!
#PremRugby say six players, two staff, #Sale say 5 players, two staff.
#Sale say they have forfeited, #PremRugby say it has cancelled the game...
This has been an utter farce. PRL have made themselves look bloody useless. Sale have major questions to answer about this very high number of cases.

Match off, and rightly so! Well done to Bath for making the play-offs!

Re: The final round
Just badly handled all round. Was hard to see how this was ever not going to be the ultimate outcome.
Given the infection rates across GM over the last month Sale have always been staring down the barrel of this sort of outbreak and you'd have hoped both they and PRL would have been better prepared to handle it when it did happen.

Re: The final round
I've just realised, were guaranteed an interesting final (stylistically).
Exeter v Bath will be the battle of the 5m pick-and-go.
Wasps v Bristol will be all court handling.
This is very much NOT the way I wanted Bath to make the top 4, but it very much the right decision, which should have been made at the weekend.
Sale couldn't put a team out on Sunday (they say they could, but didn't prove it, and PHe disagreed. Which meant that they couldn't). The reason was Covid, and given everything we were told, mostly by Steve Diamond, that means that Sale should have forfeited as of Saturday.

I hope it's either Bristol or wasps who lift the cup eventually. Much nicer to watch.
