Fun result in the game this morning sees us up to 2nd in the world rankings without kicking a ball.
On a related note, the Welsh are damned lucky that the IRB have decided to use last year's rankings for the RWC draw - they've gone from 4th (1st seed) to 9th (3rd seed) and it won't matter.

Yeah. I thought the same.
Then again, I’d generally prefer to avoid them in a RWC group. Their hate fuels them differently against us.

South Africa demonstrating the famous "you can't drop points if you don't play" technique to stretch their lead at the top of the rankings.
Are their enough points on the table for us to catch up a bit in this tournament?
Can't see Georgia or Wales offering us much unless we absolutely destroy the latter.
Even if we destroy Wales, it'll give us sod all - the ranking expect us to destroy them. Only points available are from Ireland and (potentially) France.
BillyV has looked thoroughly unimposing so far. Keeps carrying and stopping to try and put in footwork like he's Alex Goode. Pick up, run forwards Billy!
And now he's just carried too high and got shunted backwards. Meat and drink to these Georgian forwards.
Why do we keep picking and driving into Georgia's forwards?! They're just knocking us back.
Stuart's looked very, very good so far, both carrying and scrummaging. Making a good claim to a starting jersey over Sinckler on this evidence.
Yet another 5m scrum, yet another English demolition of the Georgian 8, yet another failure to make a decision by Nigel. On the bright side, at least we're not doing aimless kicking, but 13 minutes of 5m pick and gos and scrums isn't putting a smile on England's face.
England's front row have looked fantastic in the tight and loose. Looks a great combination. Ewels has been anonymous so far but Launchbury has put himself about and seemed to judo throw Willis over the line for the try.
Just as I type this Stuart gives away a soft penalty at the scrum.
Daly is having a stinker. How many more chances does he get in an England shirt?
