Sam Warburton’s Lions backrow choice

Post by jngf »

Interesting to read in Times that Sam Warburton would pick Underhill at 6 with T Curry at 7 and I agree he’s got them the correct way round (unlike England selectors :) )

Sorry, but appeals to authority shouldn't be allowed if you're not willing to accept the decision of a greater authority :D.

What's the difference between the roles 6 and 7 play btw?

This may've been a joke, but I am actually very tempted to lock this thread. We have had the same discussion ad nauseam, with the emphasis on nauseam.

That was my thought. I've probably engaged with it more than anyone, but JNGF you must have had this exact conversation around Underhill/Curry (and their suitability at 6/7) with every single member of the board at this point? What new discussion are you expecting to have?

Raggs has responded a number of times with a question that you seemingly don't want to answer, while everyone else just seems baffled as to what point you're trying to make.

Pack looks broadly right, three-quarters are generally explicable, but everything falls apart at the halfbacks.

For a whole new take I'd want all of England's leading players to be having a rest, and specifically not off making money for a leading competitor harming England in the process

I think SA dispatches that team relatively easily.

9, 12 and 13 are baffling really, given the choices available aren't they?

I've stopped being surprised by people who should know better suggesting Farrell for the Lions. Just surprised he hasn't named him as captain.

The whole discussion, back row and all, is surely moot, given the news coming out of SA re: their new strain, England's new strain and the spiraling number of infections everywhere.
