Yup. Rode their luck in the first half but the better team won. Wales were comfortably better in the end, I think the scoreboard is a fair reflection of the two teams.

They know how to win and have found ways to hang in, take advantage of opposition idiocy, and then put the foot down. Fair play to them.

Wales will end up with 19 points, after smashing Italy but i think France will be too much for them

Are

Are Ireland good or are Italy shite? Feels like this is mostly a bad style match up for Italy as much as anything and they're not adjusting well. Ringrose has been impressive for the Irish.
As good as Ireland are, Italy were just shit. Ireland cruised that in 2nd gear, they didn't have to do anything particularly other than control possession, which is as natural as drinking to the Irish.

Yeah, Ireland were making yards every single phase. Could even have scored more.

Italy's attack is funny. They have some quite good moves and probably have as many line breaks as most teams, but they all come from backs moves that, if they don't work out, lose them 20 metres. Every time they make ground, they find themselves on the back foot two phases later.

That maybe applies today but their first two games they have waited for opposition idiocy and then tried to let their opponents have a chance anyway. Could easily have lost twice to 14 men.

They do score some nice tries though.

But they didn't. They were in the ascendancy when ZF was sent off and might have won against 15 anyway.

The reality is they've won more trophies, outwith one off game trophies, in this 6N than we have in the 6N full stop.

Wales for many years find ways to win games, we find ways to lose them.

Forza Italia!! Expecting them to get pumped though.

I have a feeling England will win today.

We better not lose to that Italian side. They are terrible.

They've just had no ball at all yet and discipline has gone early. It's going to be a long afternoon for a lot of young players.

I hope we just watched the Welsh maul rumble 20 odd meters down the pitch and over halfway.

Rees-zammit loves the little chip over the top doesn't he. Teams are going to have to start planning for that

England - Ireland is not as entertaining as I've become used to in the past few weeks. Might give up and watch France later instead

Ireland playing well. But I've got the sound off, which helps make it watchable.

Haha. Would be hilarious if we now win this due to a red.

Hope Billy is okay though, he looked sparko.

Ain't gonna happen but yes it would.

Anyone remember when Stockdale was being hyped as the greatest winger to ever come out of the British isles? I'd say he was tackling fresh air for that try but that would be overstating it. He was waving at fresh air that the English players had just run thru.

I've literally never seen him beat a tackler 1 on 1. Just seemed to have a manic run of chip and chase tries for a season or so. His tackling is fucking hilarious though, so he gets some credit there.

Have England ever lost to Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the same 5/6 nations tournament?

I wondered that myself. Closest I can come to is 1983 when they lost to Scotland and Ireland and drew with wales
