When Ford and Farrell play together I'd like to see stats to show if Farrell has ever been replaced and Ford left on or if it's always the other way around?
By Eddie? I really can't recall a time Farrell has been taken off.

I'd bet on it being an incredibly small number of times, if it's ever happened at all.

Out of 55 starts

2016 6N, Vs Ireland
2016 AI, Vs Australia
2019 6N, Vs Italy
2019 6N, Vs Scotland
2019 RWC warm-ups Vs Ireland
2021 6N, Vs Ireland

I don't know how many were tactical Vs injury / HIA / blood.

He's also come off the bench 3 times, against Japan (AIs), Against USA (RWC), and against Wales (RWC warm-ups)

How many of those are Farrell off when both he and Ford started the match?

2016 6N, Vs Ireland: Ford and Farrell start with Farrell off on 65mins to be replaced by Daly. No centres other than JJ in the XXIII so I’d guess it wasn’t tactical.

2016 AI, Vs Australia: F&F start with Farrell hooked in the 67th minute for Te’o. Going by the scores it could’ve been tactical.

2019 6N, Vs Italy: Farrell replaced by Ford with a win in the bag..... but it’s Italy so who cares.

2019 6N, Vs Scotland: Farrell replaced by Ford, who then went on to lead us up the pitch and then score the try (and con) to salvage a draw. Cue Ford saved England narrative.... ah, no, wait, that didn’t happen.

2019 RWC warm-ups Vs Ireland: ....it’s a warmup who cares.

2021 6N, Vs Ireland: can’t remember this match, it probably didn’t happen as the reported score line scarcely looks believable.

Worse than Ibitoye?
I'm not even sure that Ibitoye's had a game yet with Montpellier!

Something that didn't cause people to complain much , and yet here we are with a much better attack plan and look what happens. I suppose that always allowed people to break into 'daylight come and we want go home'

Italy aside, only 2 first half tries is a piss poor return and undermine all the bollocks talk that comes out of the camp between games.

I’ve actually come to accept I shall pop the lid off a cold one if news breaks of his immediate departure.

Then time to start the bring back Burt campaign

I'd be fine with Lancaster coming back to be honest. He's now got very sharp end international experience. I don't think he'd make the same mistakes again.

Burt has shown he can coach given access to a really strong squad. I wouldn't mind seeing something along the lines of selection, especially selection when there are options you might find at test level rather than club level.

Something like a Lions tour would be a really good dry run for Burt

Relax. As soon as we get our average ruck time under 1 second we’ll be cruising.

That's why we finished with two scrum halves and you better believe Randall has been told to get ready to play 9 from the 12 channel. Don't need an attacking shape - just one of them near the tackle to wang it out to someone else. The age of the fly half is dead VIVE LA SCRUM HALF ARMY

You know full well that even if we had 7 Duponts Eddie would still have Youngs at 9, and we'd have posters on here calling for a Mike Philips type at 12 and a 17 year old to be getting caps because of their ceiling.

I thought he was at Agen until the end of the season?

Originally, yes, but he left rather quickly by mutual agreement. Agen haven't won a single match this season and will be relegated to ProD2 and morale in the club is understandably low, not that that means players can chuck in the towel. I don't know any details, but it seems to me that Ibitoye was far from committed to the cause and the club management rapidly agreed to release him.

Very little in Eddie's history to say he wouldn't be picking Dupont, and even then we'd have to accept in the recent game between Dupont and Youngs it wasn't Dupont who looked the better player
