It is near enough all he’s done of note in 40 mins. Was a beautiful kick though. Smith is playing very well.16th man wrote:Good kick through fro Dombrandt too

Not sure how Smith wasn't pinged for flying in from the side there

That was a good game, but still makes me really confused why people keep talking about Dombrandt and England. I just don’t get it. The young lad at 7 was superb though. So much nuisance from him and some real interventions.

I'd get Kenningham in the England A set up or the Scotland game. I'd get Reid in there too.
Dombrandt does so many good things. He's clever, runs good lines, has the best hands of any back rower in the Premiership, can pass long or short and can win you line outs. There's a lot to like.

There’s a lot to like if he actually got anywhere near 80 minute performance. Hell if he got above an 8 minute performance it’s be nice. He is so frustrating because he’s the world of talent and the work ethic of a corpse. Like today, he was the third best back rower in his own team by a distance. And that’s behind a newbie and a second rate squad filler. I just don’t get it.

Quinns are just bizarre. Has there ever been a bigger change in a team within a season? Not just in being average at best to qualifying for the playoffs, but early in the season the word that springs to mind is "turgid". Not saying they're playing the best rugby (defence? What's that?), but you certainly couldn't use the word turgid to describe them. Wonder what Gustard thinks of it all!
Thought kenningham had a great game, which he also did against Wasps (I think it was Wasps). I'm also surprised Marchant isn't mentioned more for England. I realise that might sound weird as I think he was in the squad (team?) for the Ireland game, but I'm always impressed when I see him play.
Thought Green did well too, considering he doesn't play fullback much...his attack was considerably better than defence. I'm liking the look of Northmoore too. Potential there I think.
But all in all, they HAVE to get some defence in there! Otherwise it's just playoffs for playoffs sake, not really challenging for the title.

Is Kenningham qualified for anyone else? Hopefully not, because that's the kind of performance that will get the Celts sniffing after him.
I went from watching the replay of the Wuss v Leicester game, which was utterly dire, with two uninspired and utterly unambitious teams who didn't see a bit of possession they didn't want to kick up in the air, straight into watching that one. It was like watching two different sports. Thank all the gods this was the one that was on television!
Cokanasiga's starting to look a bit more like his old self, isn't he?
