Incredibly clear double movement, no?

Looked like it to me, sadly.

Are there going to be neutral officials for the tests or has covid sent us back to the joys of SA officials? I see Barnes is there at least.

That Faf yellow should have been a red. It is head on head due to his actions. Probably better in the long run he wasn't sent off though.

Murray needs a firm kick in the balls. Take the farking scrum you numbskull.

Don't worry, chaps, AWJ's on his way.

Lions are being out-gunned and if they don't take immediate advantage the oppo being reduced to 13, then the game'll be lost.

Select rugby, and the game you want.

That last 5 minutes felt very much like watching that period in the RWC final - sitting camped 2m out from the South African, continually feeding pick and drives into the South African close defence, convinced that they're going to make it if they just keep trying one more time. Same result too - eventual turnover and massive swing of momentum.

I remain convinced that, had England got over the line to make it 10-6 just before halftime, then it would've been the fillip that we needed to recover from our terrible start and take the wind out of South Africa's sails, with them going behind after having dominated. As it was, we finished the half 12-6 behind with heads down and never picked ourselves back up again.

It's not good signs that the Lions are doing the same thing that didn't work for England.

It's Dave Ewers we need to get out there if we're planning to just Exeter our way over the line from 10 metres out.

Who told Farrell to try a cross kick whenever he is in the oppo 22? The Lions have a 2 man advantage FFS.

I was attempting to imply Farrell doesn’t understand what an overlap is but I realise now you probably meant the fact we were playing against 13.

This elegant midfield playmaking axis is a joy to behold.

What has the greater comedy value? Farrell trying to pass when running or Steyn trying to side step?

If Watson is crocked now I may reconsider the lions as a concept.

That didn't look an especially legal smash from Wiese. Someone needs to shut Farrell up and stop him talking to the referee though. He's lucky the ref's patient.

In fact, there's a lot of whining going on from the Lions. There's been "offside," "he can't dummy from a maul," "he's offside, his hands are on the floor," "that's high," and the ever delightful squeal of "Sir! Sir! SIRRRR!" like a schoolboy in Rees-Mogg's fantasies.

I’d love to know if this is the sort of attacking plan Townsend has in mind, or if we’re ‘saving it’ for the tests.

The two dullest 10s in world rugby don't really help the action much.

Lessons learned on both sides.

Nice wee insight for both who will be much better a week on Saturday.

That feels like a very Gatland game plan came crashing down. Apart from the time we were playing 13 we were not in that.

Certain players need to be dropped as it’s not effective.
Mako, Farrell, Murray all look like busted flushes. Dammit looks like he is struggling to step up (although he is getting a push amount of ball compared to other wingers)

Pack looks decent but you can’t expect to constantly expect to chase the ball and start defending again because Farrell doesn’t fancy passing the ball unless everyone is 20m behind the gain line.

Curry was good but I’m wondering if we will see a Curry/Watson/Simmons. Back row for the first test. Beirne and Navidi are good but not in the same class as those 2.

Simmonds has been anonymous for me and seems to be struggling to be involved. What is it that you've seen? Or is the cupboard a bit bare?
