New England jersey

Post by Mellsblue »

I’m sure there is a kit/jersey thread but I can’t find it. Men’s = nope, it’s looks like a football shirt
Woman’s = acceptable.

Totally agree. But I guess that’s what happens when you sign a deal with a company best known for making football shirts … :(

On the England Rugby site now so looks legit …

We do the shirts differ if the sponsor is the same? The women's is quite nice I'm not sure why the men have the off the peg stick the logos on crap.

There was a bit of a backlash with a recent kit release (think it was Canterbury’s final one) when none of the woman’s team were in the promo pics. I’m guessing this is just the next step in giving them more exposure.

To be honest, it's a step less footbally than last year's one, so it's at least going in the right direction.

I suppose we should just be glad it isn’t this one.

Oh gods, that was 1996 or 97, wasn't it? That shirt's just inextricably linked in my head with Matt Perry.

First jersey I had. Last one with the older non trademarked rose design.

Yes, strangely that kit was appropriate for the dire post 2003 rugby World Cup England dished up for most part in the mid to late noughties.

If so then surely a crop top would have been more apt

No crop tops in sight but here are the alternate jerseys. Men’s is better than first choice (not hard) but still looks like a football top. Women’s is better than the men’s again.

Yep once again the women's one looks much nicer than the men's. Would much rather they just wore the same kit to create a unified England look.

Not sure why Dan Robson is modeling it either as he isn't likely to be near a starting shirt anytime soon.
