Saints played some quite nice stuff at times but goodness their opponents made life far too easy for them. Saints were under no pressure in any phase throughout the game. Wuss wont even get BP's unless they work much harder than that. They already have the look of a team doomed to fill the bottom spot. Worrying.
Thought Mitchell, Dingwall and Freeman looked good. Next week should give them a much tougher examination.

Yeah. Saints are playing some nice rugby and aren’t missing too many to the international window. Those they are missing are important though - Grayson and Wood/Augustus (with a back row re-jig) are good deputies for Biggar and Lawes but Matavesi’s miles ahead of their other hookers.

Worcester looked reasonably OK in the first couple of rounds but my god, the wheels have well and truly come off … they’ve missed Heinz’s experience and game management but with the exception of Lewis (who is almost always good), their forwards need to take a long hard look in the mirror. They were unforgivably passive and lacking in any aggression/fight.

I wonder if Ted Hill fancies a move to London? Would love to have him at Quins. :D

It must take some extraordinary coaching skill to motivate a team that is so lacking in confidence. Is it impossible without management changes?

I'm beginning to wonder if some the capitulations we're seeing once a side is well ahead is down to no relegation.

BT hype the amazing attacking rugby of the winner, but is because losing doesn't matter so why bother?

Possibly. I could understand that to a certain degree. I’ve been in teams that have lost heavily and it’s horrible. You just want it to be over.

Relegation might not matter this season, but going through a whole season of getting hammered after every week would create more of a long term issue IMO. Who is going to want to join a side like that?

Not just who would want to join but who would want to televise, sponsor or pay to watch. Covid has hit clubs hard, Tigers estimated the loss of a million a week at the worst points. No club can afford to turn off fans, sponsors or TV coverage at the moment because they are playing awful rugby.

A million a week? The club is telling fibs there I think.
