Re: Worcester vs Sale
I've gone for three Sale forwards and one back in the fantasy team this week so let's hope for another Worcester capitulation.
On paper the Wuss team isn't bad but after the hammerings of recent weeks the morale must be awful. Might be tough for them to get up for this one.

Morning...have not posted for a long time.
I am down in Worcester for the weekend for our favourite away trip of the season. I can not believe some of the stories I have been hearing. Wuss have lost a lot of long term supporters who can not bare to watch their team anymore. I have been told that the new owners have spent a fortune getting Morcambe football club up the leagues whilst using Worcester Rugby for the revenue...they are not interested in the club (no idea if this is true but heard it from several supporters).
Also Chris Ashton is refusing to play?? And the team spirit is zero...very worrying for the future of Worcester if true.

Attendances are well down. The supporters appear to be giving up and i've seen some rumbling about the owners lack of investment. When you saw them last week, they did look like a group of players largely disinterested.
I dont know where Worcester are headed. They've never done much in the Prem and look ill equipped to turn that around any time soon.

True, but Ashton playing or not isn’t going to make a huge amount of difference IMO.Tigger wrote:Morning...have not posted for a long time.

Also while the revenue from Worcester is probably more than from Morecambe, I’d be very surprised if it’s enough to bankroll a football club and keep the rugby club going. Also flies in the face of them spending big money on Sutherland and van der Merwe. The likes of Heinz and Baldwin can’t be cheap either.

Re: Worcester vs Sale
Iirc, the Wuss owners brought little to no money to the table but did a mini Glazer and just leveraged the club as soon as they got their hands on it. If there is money going from Wuss to Morecambe (it’s an odd combo to own!) then I’d imagine that’s how it was transferred. As you say, I’d be surprised if it’s revenue being transferred as if iirc (again) Wuss are the biggest loss making venture in the Prem.Scrumhead wrote:True, but Ashton playing or not isn’t going to make a huge amount of difference IMO.Tigger wrote:Morning...have not posted for a long time.

Blimey. Wuss win 27-14 and get a try BP. Bit of a turn up. Lets hope they've turned a corner.

Should’ve known there would be More-to-cambe from Wuss.

Thorough deserved win too. They were great value for it. The forwards turned up and that backline will trouble everyone if they get decent ball, which they finally did.fivepointer wrote:Blimey. Wuss win 27-14 and get a try BP. Bit of a turn up. Lets hope they've turned a corner.
Lawrence, who bizarrely I’ve seen people questioning, was excellent, as was Smith, but Shillcock was superb! Every time he touched the ball it looked like something was going to happen.
