Re: Third Test
Long way back now and we have shown none of the determination and grit of the last two weeks. Disappointing.

Re: Third Test
three poor kicks to NZ, three NZ tries - you'd like to think they'd learn but with our coaches we're long past that

Re: Third Test
Great turn over then what? Ab's get the scrum from the forward pass and normal service resumed.
At least Garces trying to stop a massacre by binning an all black.

they take it in turns....mind Cane was binned (for something pretty innocuous in the middle of the park, oddly)16th man wrote:Again, the commentators appear surprised that the ref isn't looking at binning an AB. Have they not watched before?

Re: Third Test
Oh well at least the sin binning stopped them scoring for 10 minutes. Unlike last week i can't see us getting any consolation tries late on.

Agree. We look miles off the pace this week. This will be a humping.pompey-zebra wrote:Oh well at least the sin binning stopped them scoring for 10 minutes. Unlike last week i can't see us getting any consolation tries late on.

Tired. With tiredness we've lost what little clever we had.

Lost the energy we had in defence in the earlier games too.

24 turnovers conceded by NZ and we still cannot score.

I'd like to claim prescience, but really no other result was likely.Eugene Wrayburn wrote:I'd say you were less competitive in the second match than the first, albeit the score ended up closer. By 60 minutes it was all over bar the shouting, they lifted out some key players and you scored a couple of consolation tries. It depends on whether they get their selection right and what the aims might be towards the end of the game. It's possible that you'll be closer, but I expect you to be carrying a bigger deficit at half time and at full time and I doubt you'll ever look like you could win this one.Son of Mathonwy wrote:You may say that but by the same argument the second test was less likely to be successful than the first. However we got a better result in the second test.Eugene Wrayburn wrote: I think you need to see the glass as substantially more than half full to think you are going to win. I think this is your least good chance of winning. These have been the ABs first Tests since winning the RWC and losing some all time greats. They'll get better as the series continues as well.
This said as before, our chance of winning is very small, and is pretty much dependent on our not having the traditional 15 minutes where we go to sleep somewhere in the match.

Re: Third Test
Our first XV is just about able to give the blacks a game, but with only an (extremely) outside chance of a win.
Nearly all the second choice players are a mile off the standard required, imo.
Faletau and Liam Williams have been outstanding though.
