Red Roses v Scotland. Saturday (KO 12:00pm, live on BBC Two).
Woman’s 6N kicks off this week. Red Roses team:
15. Ellie Kildunne (Harlequins, 18 caps)
14. Heather Cowell (Harlequins, 2 caps)
13. Emily Scarratt (VC; Loughborough Lightning 96 caps)
12. Holly Aitchison (Saracens, 4 caps)
11. Abby Dow (Wasps, 22 caps)
10. Helena Rowland (Loughborough Lightning, 10 caps)
9. Leanne Infante (Bristol Bears, 48 caps)
1. Maud Muir (Wasps, 4 caps)
2. Lark Davies (Loughborough Lightning, 35 caps)
3. Sarah Bern (Bristol Bears, 40 caps)
4. Rosie Galligan (Harlequins, 1 cap)
5. Abbie Ward (Bristol Bears, 50 caps)
6. Poppy Cleall (Saracens, 50 caps)
7. Marlie Packer (Saracens, 79 caps)
8. Sarah Hunter (C; Loughborough Lightning, 130 caps)
FINISHERS
16. Connie Powell (Gloucester-Hartpury, 1 cap)
17. Vickii Cornborough (Harlequins, 64 caps)
18. Bryony Cleall (Wasps, 5 caps)
19. Sarah Beckett (Harlequins, 22 caps)
20. Alex Matthews (Worcester Warriors, 45 caps)
21. Lucy Packer (Harlequins, 1 cap)
22. Amber Reed (Bristol Bears, 58 caps)
23. Emma Sing (Gloucester-Hartpury, uncapped)
The big news is Scarratt is back but world player of the year, Zoe Aldcroft, is not selected. I’ve googled to see if she was injured but can’t find any info other than she’s not been selected by her club for the last couple of matches.
P Cleall moving to no6 to allow Hunter to capt from no8 is also worth mentioning.

It's a hell of a back row in Cleall, Packer, and Hunter. Certainly won't be missing a bit of bosh.

Its a scarily good team with great quality on the bench. The womens game has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years.

Anyone watching? This is going to be a long 80 but surprisingly good start by Scotland and sloppy from England. Almost like Cockers has been coaching their forwards...
Mind you, the Scottish openside has spent the last 3omitrs seahullomg out on the wing and miles away from the ruck

Complete athletic missmatch. Scotland able to go through the occasional phase but rarely threatening a line break and no kicking game. England look like finding a soft shoulder every time they attack and are clearly quicker all over the park.Mr Mwenda wrote:Score updates appreciated. Sadly unable to watch it!

Mostly acting as a link rather than a runner but there’s been the odd moment of class. I think she’s only 2/3/4 matches back from breaking her leg.

Glad I’m not making this decision.
Edit: That’s harsh.
