I have no idea how well known he is to people on here, but just read about his passing and it’s tragic.
I came across him shortly after the last World Cup, and his explanation of what it meant to him and to South Africans to win the World Cup had me do a complete 180 on my feelings about it.
He seemed like an overwhelmingly positive character and it’s so sad seeing he put out a video just a few days ago talking about his struggles with depression. Not that I could even bring myself to watch it, it doesn’t feel right.
I’m not sure what use a post/thread like this is really, but there you go. Just sad.

PSA time: Depression does not give one single solitary fuck, it will ruin your shit and hound you like you owe it money. If you ever feel like you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders, talk to someone. A friend, a different friend, someone you work with, your loved ones, keep talking to someone until you find those that are willing to listen. You'll be surprised how many people care for you, and would be willing to help you carry that burden. There's no shame in asking for help.
