I love Flatman losing the ability to speak and just shouting, "ARRRRRRHHH" as he scores. Very similar to my reaction, tbh. I kinda want to hear the French commentary on this. You just know they'd love it, even against a French team.

Okay, that was plain ridiculous. Arundell is just utterly overpowered in broken field - going from under pressure on his own tryline to score in the corner and beating covering defenders that he had absolutely no right to. He must travel to Australia this summer.

Can't imagine what he'd do on a 7s pitch as well. I suspect it might be dangerously arousing.

Wasn't Odogwu going to be 13?

It does make me think that international coaches may be onto something when they don't pick all our favourites instantly. People like maunder and Joe Simmonds got a ton of hype and have now completely dropped away.

Maintaining world class quality for multiple seasons is really hard and I think getting harder. Think about players like Daly who have dropped back in estimation. People like Itoje are few and far between - I think estimating the shelf life of a player's quality and whether to invest squad time in them must be one of the trickiest things about international coaching.

To be honest, I expect Arundell to be called into the England squad for the summer and then break a leg or something in the baabaas fixture or in meaningless premiership game. I'm sad to say that seems more likely than him becoming world class. Fingers crossed I am overly pessimistic.
