The Fiji team. The back three are particularly dangerous.

Re: Fiji vs England
Do we want this thread here? or in the EMB?
Equally - do you want separate threads for each match? each pool? each weekend? or just one continues WRWC thread?
On this match, specifically, we've gone pretty strong here, and with France next weekend, we won't want to get caught cold. Build a score, get the bench on early, and look to build an aura, and some sharpness (and we looked to have both in the warm-ups).
Can do some rotation against SA - who are better than Fiji, but shouldn't be a problem, meaning that everyone should have had a run-out ahead of the QFs

Re: Fiji vs England
I'm taking a liberal attitude to this. i.e. do whatever you want

We're still feeling our way around the board's lady parts, we have a lot of learning to do, what goes where etc - I'm sure we'll get better with experience.

As we've got this board, we ought to use it. I'd be in favour of separate threads for every England match and see what the interest levels are for the others.Which Tyler wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 10:43 am Do we want this thread here? or in the EMB?

Re: Fiji vs England
I'm insomniac, so am often up at 4ish anyway - unfortunately I'm at the back end of a spell, so managing to sleep through to 6 the last couple of days - If I'm up anyway, then I'll watch; I'm really torn as to whether to set an alarm and potentially rob me of what sleep I can get.
It's set to record either way, obviously.

Re: Fiji vs England
Well just watched - nevwr as fun to talk about when we're all watching at different times.
Fiji looked decent, England looked a little shocked, and a touch rusty in the first half.
Second half... well, Fiji we're knackered by all that defending, whilst England knocked off the rust, and any complacency at HT, and just pulled away.
Promising for the rest of the tourney, and I'd have Kabeya as WotM.
Interesting that the South Africa, France and Fiji had piped in anthems with vocals, England had piped in music and no vocals, whilst Aus and NZ had singers out there...
