8 Jasper Wiese [53]
REPLACEMENTS

18 Will Hurd [21]
19 Harry Wells [173]
20 Olly Cracknell [17]
21 Tom Whiteley [1]
22 Charlie Atkinson [12]
23 Guy Porter [54]
Bath Rugby: 15 Tom de Glanville, 14 Ruaridh McConnochie, 13 Jonathan Joseph, 12 Cameron Redpath, 11 Matt Gallagher, 10 Orlando Bailey, 9 Ben Spencer ©; 1 Beno Obano, 2 Tom Dunn, 3 Will Stuart, 4 Josh McNally, 5 GJ van Velze, 6 Fergus Lee-Warner, 7 Sam Underhill, 8 Jaco Coetzee
Impact players: 16 Niall Annett, 17 Juan Schoeman, 18 D’Arcy Rae, 19 Miles Reid, 20 Alfie Barbeary, 21 Louis Schreuder, 22 Max Ojomoh, 23 Chris Cloete
That's a pretty stacked Bath team who look like they're expecting a battle up front though a little short at lock.
Tigers relying on the old guard again but having Reffell back starting and Porter fit enough for bench duty certainly helps a bit.

Potential banana skin for Tigers, and they'd be foolish to think a win is on the cards against the bottom side and they're going to have to work extremely hard.

Bath were a banana skin earlier in the season with the game at the Rec. Bath have a very strong team on paper, I can't see Tigers taking it easy.francoisfou wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2023 2:08 pm Potential banana skin for Tigers, and they'd be foolish to think a win is on the cards against the bottom side and they're going to have to work extremely hard.
Tigers have gone as strong as they can. Only changes from last weekend are Ashton dropping out for Simmonds on the wing and Reffell coming back in at 7 with Cracknell going to the bench where Porter also comes in.
Bath have been less than the sum of their parts this season, let's hope for an encore at the weekend. Interesting that Bath have gone for the 6:2 bench split but have three backrow and no second row cover.

It's on PRTV. I've missed the first half but apparently Tigers dominated, Bath conceded a couple of yellows and then Tigers took their foot off the gas and Bath got back into it. That's going on what been said on the offy though and a lot of the posters on there make me look anti-Tigers.

Tuned in and incidentally regret it. Neither Dickson nor the TMO spot that a Bath try is scored from a pass where the receiver is in front of the ruck when he catches it. Frigging clown school officiating. Last night was bad but now Dickson is going with the " hold my beer" reply.

Barbeary lasted about 10 minutes on his comeback. Lets hope its nothing too serious.

A bp win for Tigers, but conceding four tries against the bottom side is concerning.

A real shame for Bath because he was excellent whilst he was on the pitch.fivepointer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 4:37 pm Barbeary lasted about 10 minutes on his comeback. Lets hope its nothing too serious.

Re: Tigers Vs Bath
Yeah wasn't great. The third try, whilst a mile forward, also came from Bath running the same lineout move twice in a row with a dummy mail peel off to a hard runner. We fell for it twice.francoisfou wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 4:52 pm A bp win for Tigers, but conceding four tries against the bottom side is concerning.
Tom Whiteley came off the bench seemingly with the sole intention of making the score more even. He was fecking useless, Ben Youngs had been having a ropey day at the office but Whiteley was considerably worse. Poor Sam Edwards must have been stewing in the stands, when he had his chance he might have been a bit slow at the breakdown but but his error count was minimal. Whiteley pretty much handed Bath their fourth try.
The changes to the coaching staff have definitely had an impact. The attack has actually got a bit better under Wigglesworth but the defence and the lineout have suffered. The pack we've got is still very good though which is helping with the golden oldies in the back line doing a steady job.
I didn't see the first half but apparently both Bath tries came from Tigers errors so sounds like there's a lot to work on still. I can't see us being more than a speed bump for whomever in the playoffs should we get there

Update on Barbeary injury. Unclear just how long he will be out at this stage.
Alfie injured his knee against Leicester Tigers. The injury is completely unrelated to the hamstring injury he returned from at Welford Road. He will have a scan on his knee to determine the full extent of the injury.

I think that really should be it for the poor sod. Such a shame, as he's a phenomenal player who hasn't achieved half of what he's capable of, but it's just happening too often now and he needs to think of his future.NorthWestRugby wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 3:18 am Nobody mentioning Sam Underhill going off with yet another head knock. Ah. Yeah that’s sad to hear. It really feels like too many for him already.
