LaRochelle v Gloucester Sat 5.30

Post by fivepointer »

Horribly difficult trip for Glos. Big test for young players Atkinson, Blake and Clement.

Gloucester: Carreras; Rees-Zammit, Harris, Atkinson, Thorley; Twelvetrees, Varney; Vivas, Blake, Gotovtsev, Clarke, Alemanno, Ackermann, Ludlow (c), Clement.

Replacements: Walker, Elrington, Ford-Robinson, Jordan, Thomas, Morgan, Chapman, May

La Rochelle: Dulin; Thomas, Rhule, Danty, Favre; Hastoy, Kerr-Barlow; Sclavi, Bourgarit, Atonio, Lavault, Skelton, Dillane, Botia, Alldritt (c).

Replacements: Lespiaucq, Wardi, Colombe Reazel, Sazy, Tanga, Boudehent, Berjon, Reus.

12T at starting fly-half :?

I'm sure it'll be fine.

About as strong as we can muster, but I too wince when I see 36 starting, especially at 10.

A drubbing coming I think, just looking for some signs of actual rugby being played by Glos following a definite downturn in quality performances.

That's some LR team.

What's happened to the young Glaws 10 that played in one of the earlier rounds. Barton? He looked a prospect. Shame he's not getting the chance to make the squad here.

Blimey. He looks like he’s been through 12 rounds with M. Tyson.
Lights out is an unfortunate turn of phrase.

With scrum dominance like this it’s a done deal.

La Rochelle try was inevitable, Glaws pack reversing faster than a Liz Truss Budget.

Maybe not yet, great Glaws try to level the scores, Seb Atkinson's passing superb.
