He's also a master of saying things that aren't true because his pre-match script isn't being followed on the pitch

Ojo is doing a fantastic job of taking Dallaglio’s Biden-esque ramblings and trying to salvage a bit of interest or insight.

Arundell on for 1/2 hr, only getting a pass in the last seconds (and on his own line too). Got to give the Guv credit for that.

How Dallaglio gets these gigs is beyond me. He is utterly dreadful and the constant exhortations to "look at that" just illustrate that he has nothing of interest to say.Mikey Brown wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 4:45 pm Ojo is doing a fantastic job of taking Dallaglio’s Biden-esque ramblings and trying to salvage a bit of interest or insight.
As far as the game goes, Saracens rode an early Irish storm and calmly and methodically took the game by the scruff of the neck and won pretty easily.
Thought Earl and Isiekwe were very good and Dan showed up well.
Irish not really at their best.

Commentators raving on about Faz bossing the game. Twaddle. He played as he usually does - a decent club level conservative fly half who does not make many mistakes but never lights the game up. Good enough goal kicking and passing, but usually content to ship the ball on, never threatens a break and does not put teammates into gaps. He's looking slower than ever and moving about the pitch with a stiff gait that looks like a middle aged bloke out for a walk who's momentarily lost the dog.

yep. He's great for a front foot physical team like Sarries, but just imagine them with a creative 10- they also say 'a rare error from Faz'.....about three times a game.Spiffy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 5:17 pmCommentators raving on about Faz bossing the game. Poor man's Murray Mexted. He needs to pepper his utter lack of satire with some inappropriate euphemism.fivepointer wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 5:07 pmHow Dallaglio gets these gigs is beyond me. Commentators need to add value, i.e. tell viewers something they may not know such as player's names etc, or provide information about events off camera, or whatever.
When aforesaid commentators are simply relaying details of what viewers can see for themselves - in particular via a constant stream of dire cliches and mangled metaphors - their input is best improved by being muted. When what they're saying is particularly asinine, it's time for a BT Sport rethink. LD gives the impression that he can't believe he's actually being paid to produce the rubbish he talks.

Although Healey is very annoying and a lot of a git, his rugby interventions on tactics and execution are very good.stepsider wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 9:20 pm Commentators need to add value, i.e. tell viewers something they may not know such as player's names etc, or provide information about events off camera, or whatever.
