Re: SF v SA
Not surprised that Libbok is off. He's offered nothing in terms of control. Quite honestly we need to do the same with Farrell.

Yep. Good chance he’s going to fluke us into the final.

Re: SF v SA
Lawes has been superb - our best player. Decision to start Marler and Martin justified. Vunipola is a joke. Is Tuilagi on the pitch?

We have a solid plan and we're executing it. I am confused and scared.

Re: SF v SA
Match commentators ridiculously biased and partisan, praising dumb ass Farrell really sticks in the craw. Referee again our best player - Farrell doing a similar job for oppo

Re: SF v SA
Should have made more of that but that’s a pretty incredible half time score really. Need to be far more clinical with chances when they (and their bench) come back at us in the second half.
Keep Farrell away from the ref and keep Vunipola away from the pitch.

Although I was a little bit worried that Mitchell had cocked it up at the end of the half. We'll call it exquisitely judged.

Wish Swish Bettendorf would follow Boks example re 10 - but it won’t happen, he’s too niceMikey Brown wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 8:50 pm Should have made more of that but that’s a pretty incredible half time score really. Re: SF v SA
The decision to select Billy on the bench instead of Ludlam is madness. An injury to Earl or Curry and we're fucked.

One used SA Team for sale, tidy runner, one lady owner. Choke stuck on.

Marchant's main job, apart from trying not to get a neck crick watching the ball sail into the air, is dragging Fax away from whatever idiocy he's starting.

George has done a job here too. Fucking pathetic that an international captain has to be dragged away from bitching at the ref by his team mates. How can he continue being selected as captain after this shit show?16th man wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 8:57 pmMarchant's main job, apart from trying not to get a neck crick watching the ball sail into the air, is dragging Fax away from whatever idiocy he's starting.

Re: SF v SA
I'm watching with Aussie or Kiwi commentators, it's probably quite a lot less hagiographical. They've certainly had a quizzical tone when questioning some of the referring decisions. (I look forward to 'rassie' or whomever it actually is whinging on that 'TAS analytics' YT channel complaining about them in slomo, win or lose.)
We've finally fronted up. There were some dumb errors but we beat SA in multiple errors where I thought we'd have been smashed. Some of this may be down to dubious reffing but we've shown so much more intensity and application than in any other game so far.
Faz could do with taking a chill pill and Vunipola - don't you dare come on and prove me right straight away again ffs.
Some great performances in there though. Great catching and chasing under the high ball. Some amazing breakdown work too. That steal by Laws after the SA player was ankle tapped - smooth as you like.

That was very good from Marchant. A wise head in a pressure situation.16th man wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 8:57 pmMarchant's main job, apart from trying not to get a neck crick watching the ball sail into the air, is dragging Fax away from whatever idiocy he's starting.

Couldn't agree more, just down right unfair on Ludlam too to be honest. Vunipola has been useless for some time and Ludlam improving rapidly, he's also made for this kind of scrap.

I mean have we even tried to give the centres a pass yet? Doesn’t feel like a game where we’ll see a lot going past 10.

Re: SF v SA
Mitchell has outplayed Reinach. I'd not have predicted that.
