Re: Olympic Sevens
Even I thought the ref was a bit one sided that 2nd half.
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

It will be interesting to see if the NZRU rightfully accept the blame for their half-arsed, unprofessional she'll-be-right attitude to the Seven's programme, or if Teflon Tew will shift the blame on to the injuries and/or the ref. I suspect the latter.

Is there a loti taquiri (spelling?) playing for japan? Surely not the same as used to play for Oz?

Well, I'm now backing Fiji 100% for the gold.

The terms "disastrous campaign" and "ignominious defeat" have rarely been so apt. Well done Fiji. Be great to see them pick up gold.

Just watched the France game. Is it just me, or did the ref again give every possible breakdown decision he could to France? Whistle blew instantly time and again when France won the ball, NZ were lucky if they got 2 decisions the whole match, and even then they took forever to come and seemed somewhat reluctant. Oh well, still a win.

It's obviously quite clear that Brett Gosper has made an executive decision that it's bad for NZ to win everything in rugby. The filthy underarming Australian.
