Superb performance with a team decimated by injury and international call ups.

Strauss surely has to be in the 20 shirt as an absolute minimum.

Faaaaaaarrrk. That was sphincter twitching.

Still, great to see five points on the Board. Strauss had a good one and Horne is such an intelligent player. We absolutely murdered them at the scrum in the last quarter.

And you have to love Favaro.

After the RWC Horne really was the incumbent 12 for Scotland. Obviously a lot of crap has happened between then and now but I'm really glad to see him starting to string performances together again.

I was pretty impressed with Price. Ok, the Glasgow pack played pretty well, but it was good to see a Scottish scrum half not faffing around at ruck time but instead just getting the ball away as fast as he can. He also has an excellent pass.

One other thing. Does the Munster wing who cut Weir with a stud deserve to be cited? Not deliberate but could be classified as reckless and given that it drew blood from the face, punishable.

For me: Clumsy. Contact sport, move on.

Decent finish by Weir - he's in good nick at the moment.

I'll second that. Nothing in it and a citing would be an absolute joke.

Anyone reckon Strauss has played himself in to the team/squad for Italy? Dentons been pish. Strauss still frustrates with his positioning going in to contact.

I was just enquiring about Strauss in another thread but it looks like the answer is here. I certainly don't see Cowan as having much of a point when 7 is covered by Barclay and we really need more carriers.

Dirty cheating mick.

Aye but for me his opportunities for Scotland are running out. Too many times Scotland have persisted with good district players who can't step up.

Steady now. He's on what, 4 caps? And had to adapt to international rugby in the middle of a world cup. It didn't go as smoothly as we'd hoped but shit happens. Took him a while to adapt to playing at Glasgow but it was more than worth the wait.

If we're writing folk off so early then Toolis, Watson, Russell, Seymour, Dickinson, Brown, and a million and one others should have been or should be banned from international selection.

Yeah, I think people (myself included) forget that he went straight in to WC games without playing in any of the warm up games. He has been off the boil in the Pro12 but looks to be hitting form now so deserves a shot, especially as Balding has been anonymous.

Away to the Drags this week. 19.05 KO on Thursday :? Most Scotland guys will be lost, but I wonder if Reid will remain available with Sutherland having been held back by Scotland.

Currently 3 points off 5th with two games in hand over 5/6th, one game over 7th. 11 points off 4th, two games in hand.

I did wonder whether Reid being released was a sign that they thought Glasgow would need him and BVC may feel there is not that much of a difference between Reid and Sutherland. Especially with the issues at hooker.

Glasgows or Scotlands issues at hooker? ;)

Anyone seen a timeframe on Macarthurs return? Great to have more options but I wouldn't be distraught to see Fenton get more gametime. Hardly any time on the field but hit his man and was part of the most dominant scrum of the game.

Scotland update just out, Macarthur released as injured. Fenton it is then.

Good to see Brown and Dunbar back. No Strauss on Saturday then. And test good that Vern has allows a decent bench. Here's to another 5 points we hope.

That's a very good team. Could really do with a five point win to kick start the season. Been seeing some advertising for the final at Murrayfield and got me excited. It would make such a difference if they could sneak into the playoffs and get some home interest. Once there they would have as good a chance as anyone

If they got to the final there would have to be a chance of a record club attendance for that game

What is Bryce's best position? Has he got top level potential? I've only seen him briefly but looks a very balanced runner.

FB for me. Can't see him making it to the top level, but I wouldn't be worried if he was ahead of Murchie/Tonks etc on a summer tour game.

If Strauss, Harley and Weir were this shit in training all week then Verns spot on sending them back to Glasgow.
