Yeah I’m feeling that. Hard to imagine the wider rugby world having much sympathy for us though given recent results.

AE high shot just… ignored?

Ref should’ve been shown yellow for lacking the balls to give red.

Come on. We gained 4 minutes, you gained 10/30 depending on the colour of that high shot earlier.

Yeah, petty gripes aside I was mostly impressed with Quins but Toulouse just far too good. The power and offloading game combined is ridiculous, let alone when nobody can get a hand to DuPont.

Overall, I think there are a ton of positives for Quins to take away.

We could have rolled over like Exeter did a few weeks back after a couple of sucker punches at the end of the first half. At the 60min mark, we had all the momentum and it looked like we could pull off the mother of all comebacks. As it was, the yellow took that chance away from us.

Still … we ran a world class team close. If we channel that in the right way, it gives us exactly the right impetus for the run-in.

Valiant effort from Quins in the 2nd half. Gave themselves too much to do but they're not a side that will ever die wondering.

Yeah, a lot of positives.

Baxter is damn impressive.
CCS is looking good.
Murley is an absolute beast. So unlucky with that try where he chased down Kinghorn. Guy has become rapid as hell.
Green is incredible, too.

Toulouse just have too many players of international quality.

Definitely. Makes a big difference when you’re bringing Tier 1 internationals off the bench.

Did Baxter get time off from the boys' church choir to play today? Impressive indeed! He's the sort pf player who should play Top14 down here!
With him and the others mentioned above, the future's bright for Harlequins.
Marler, however, should learn to keep his mouth shut. Winding up Ramos, although it seemed inoffensive enough (but not to the ref, who I thought was quite out of his depth) was a daft moment and lost momentum for his side when they were mounting the pressure on Toulouse.

Great game so far
It's the same as the law for being in the 22 - if your back foot is touching the line, you're inside.

Apart from the engine he's got it all. Real speed, great footwork, offloading ability, aerial skills, rugby brains etc. The one thing that keeps surprising is his power, for a bloke who is small by today's rugby standards. He is constantly breaking tackles, making hard yards and is really hard to bring down. And his good form is dependably consistent. Can't believe he is not on the Bok's radar. I'd rate him the best all-round FB in the Premier League. Doesn't he qualify for England sometime quite soon?
