Hockey was a brilliant performance by GB, though Spain had obviously pissed off the ref.s, as far as I could see, 2 outright wrong decisions against them in the final minute .

Aussies divers? Wow!
Bronze for GB?

Felt the Chinese were being scored on reputation rather than what was going on above the pool - penultimate round especially.

Must be great, being Irish
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

That's annoying.
Rugby due to start 4 minutes ago, I can't see it anywhere.
BBC1 seem to have opted to show the hockey, that BBC1 showed love.
Red button are interviewing the Badminton (fair enough, they were showitthw match) whilst the only addition I'm seeing on iPlayer is cycling time trials

France beat SA in a tough contest

I'm not sure SA would have lost if they left oosthuizen out there, it must be physically impossible to play the 14 minutes!

What a ride by Brown, and Henderson maximising her possibilities, earning the silver by not pushing too hard.

Really don't know how you came to that conclusion.

Well it was 5-0 to SA until he went off and his replacement missed the tackle that let France in, France were well rattled, scored 3 trys in last 3 mins

Delighted for France. Don't know if I want them to win the gold mind, but it's great that they'll have a shot. Fiji looking unstoppable.

Dream final.
At this point, genuinely torn as to who I want to win.

Pretty poor from Ireland, when you don't let one of the fastest players in the tournament challenge the opposition because he might get turned over then you don't deserve to win. No guts no glory

Well, France aren't going to win it if they aren't going to tackle

Apparently, I want them both to win.

MTB looks really cool, but I can't help feeling fewer laps of a longer course would be better - a bit more different each time around, and less of a racing line opening up.

Looks like another gold in the bag for the hosts - always a good thing, especially when the locals aren't fully behind the games yet
