Well looks like Quins are sacking this game off and using it to get those mandatory rests in. Could be a tough game for them up against Sarries who are going strong.

Showpiece game at Spurs football stadium. Seems an odd one for Quins to rest their England players.

Earl takes a break but otherwise Saracens England players are selected.

Great to see Christie back. Such a horrible injury and when he was in such excellent form. Hope he gets a good bit of time off the bench and comes through unscathed.

Yeah. We do it every season and I hate it. It’s like we’re saying ‘we won’t win, so we won’t even try’. I hate that mentality.

Well this is unfuriating. Some very lucky calls for Saracens but we're not exactly helping ourselves.

Ugh. 30 minutes of unconverted pressure then a great Sarries try.

That was inevitable. We're absolutely toothless in attack ourselves

I'm not sure how much lower Will Evans can get there. Tompkins leads with his forearm as well. Messy one.

A bit of a mess here with the TMO and no HIA for Evans.

Benson is something, isn't he?

What a second half and what an impact from Benson. Shame nobody on here had noted his talent before today.

Jordan Els with a bizarrely impactful cameo in the loose too.

What a turnaround in a game where nobody gave us a chance. Kenningham may be unlucky to miss out on England recognition, if they’re looking to the next generation already, but he really looks like a test quality player to me. I’d have given him MOTM but hard to argue with Benson’s impact.

Who would have guessed that Ireland game was the last time Smith would ever wear 10?

Quite a turnaround. All thanks to Benson allied with the outstanding work of Kenningham and Evans.

Brantingham's injury is a downer as he was looking really good.

I hear Marcus can be handy at fullback...

I love the confidence of Jamie Benson. He just plays with a swagger, seems a down to earth lad in his interview but you need that swagger at 10. Backed himself and that was a good choice. Fergus Burke continues to disappoint, not really concerned that he's opted for Scotland at this point in time.

Re your earlier point re Kenningham. He was in the England A side and if we're looking at Curry esque flankers then he could be a good understudy for Tom Curry. His physicality is increasing, his lineout work is looking better and those areas developing increasingly puts him in the conversation.

Is that sarcasm? Pretty sure I’ve consistently championed Benson as better than JEv. I seem to remember @Mellsblue or possibly @Banquo giving him some positive recognition too.

That was poorly phrased, but yes I remember saying not too long ago I’d never even heard of the guy and being told by several on here he’s seriously one to look out for.

He’s got an impressive mix of flair, skill and the calm confidence to pull it all off. I hope nobody gets too carried away, but I can’t wait to see how he progresses.

Does he play any other positions? I feel like he’s maybe come on at 15 before.

I don’t think anyone on the board would have picked Jarrod over him…

van Zyl, Burke, Tompkins is such a dull 9-12.

Sarries used to be able to get away with being an average attacking force on that area because they had Mako, Billy and Skelton smashing holes everywhere. Now they don’t have that they just look toothless and have done for some time.
