It comes out of VDF’s hand forwards. Surely?! Or would that be pen try for illegal rip?

Haha. Augustus has to let it all out there after putting them under that insane pressure.

What an incredible game.

I still feel like I've hardly ever seen him make a tackle or hit a ruck. Not accusing him of being workshy, it's just hard to judge the nuts and bolts play with all the Croft-esque swanning about on the wing.
Pollock's two tackles and turnover in the last four minutes were crucial!

Also does Henshaw still offer anything? Just thinking what a great impact Barrett had and couldn’t even think who he had replaced.

Freeman MOTM. Bean machine Coles robbed.

Incredible when he gets over the ball cleanly, but it’s pretty questionable how often he manages it. George Ford -esque tackle technique, in the hopes of going after the ball at basically every single breakdown.

WONDERFUL! Absolutely love that. Well done Saints!

And thrilled to be wrong, especially after getting the first bit of the quick try after halftime right! What a phenomenal result!

Pleased you were wrong when you sounded so right

That last 10minutes was not easy on my heart. Saints were doing as much to lose that as win it in ways.

Jesus Christ I can't remember being more tense than in the last few minutes there. Unbelievable effort from the squad. Poor decision making from Leinster not to kick points.

I've seen loads of people criticising Pollock on social media for not doing the nuts and bolts of flanker play, making turn overs etc. Pretty sure he's winning the stats for turnovers in this competition. The guy is an insane talent, and therefore some people are desperate to find fault for reasons I can't understand.

24 tackles for Pollock according to RugbyPass. Next best was 16. He was everywhere- so many tackles, so many jackal attempts slowing it down constantly. And then that X factor for the try.

Special, special player.

I know I've asked similar questions in this match thread about nuts and bolt (again, question rather than accusation) but surely nobody is questioning his ability to win turnovers? Of course some will react badly to all the hype and his grating on-field persona, but it's incredible that he's already making such an impact on games of this level. I'm still unsure about the boring bits of his game, but the x factor stuff is amazing.

He does give up a lot of yards in contact, but that does seem to be because he's already going for the turnover. Having that constant threat to the ball must be infuriating to play against.

Incredible engine on him. He made mistakes, some soft pens but he was everywhere and a constant thorn in Leinster's side. Really good work on both sides of the ball. Got the mentality of Moody and a skillset reminiscent of Savea. A diamond that just needs some polishing. Will he stay at 7 or end up at 8, that's the question.

That shoulder barge and the offside were very stupid, but iron those out a bit with experience and he'll be a real cheat's cheat on top of the rest of his game.

Pollock is absolute class now and I think he's going to get a hell of a lot better. To be an integral part of that win, especially against that back row, at 20, is remarkable. Ignore the critics.
