Sad news  RIP...

An Iranian Para-cyclist has died after a crash during the men's C4-5 road race at the Rio Paralympics.

The International Paralympic Committee said Bahman Golbarnezhad, 48, suffered cardiac arrest after the incident on a "mountainous stretch" of circuit.

"The ambulance then diverted to the nearby Unimed Rio Hospital in Barra where he passed away soon after arrival," a statement added.

Golbarnezhad also competed at the London Paralympics in 2012.

An investigation into the circumstances of the accident has been launched.

If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

Sad news about Golbarnezhad. Tragic way to go. As a cyclist myself, I'm aware that lots of cyclists think it's the best way to go, but I disagree.

Anyway, in other news....

So, asthma and allergies...this seems to be what I need to suffer from in order to improve my times?

Is this fair to say?

An amazing performance from the UK, particularly the women. Kadeena Cox is a new star, although there are plenty of others coming through who are almost as impressive. I've thoroughly enjoyed the sport, although banishing most of it to online is just not good enough C4.
I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

NS. Gone but not forgotten.

This is a bit rough:

Paralympics bronze medallist Tyrone Pillay has been left humiliated after South African Airways staff allegedly prohibited him from boarding his flight with his prosthetic leg.

There aren't many good ways to go. Tragic that someone should die in such a manner.

Was this on the same course that Chris Boardman was suggesting was dangerous during the Olympics?
