Los Pumas vs los Ualabis
So either the UAR got silly, or Argentina retroactively won the Falklands War so hard that they got control of the UK, since this is supposed to be a home game for the Argies.
Game's gonna start soon, got some dudes wandering around the pitch with those gigantic flags that were presumably left over from the World Cup last year.

Comedy rugby. I hope we get two consecutive disallowed tries to either side.

Is the ball radioactive? Why kick it away?

I kind of doubt it's a "clumsy challenge from a tall man," when the tall man in question is the same dipshit who thinks that being an enforcer is synonymous with being a thug.

Re: Los Pumas vs los Ualabis
Look at these fools in gold, playing like a bunch of ill-disciplined yobbos. They just have their Cabbage Patch Kid sent to the bin for a high tackle, and they do another one, like, 1 fucking minute later. They must be the dumbest bunch of stupid fucking dumb idiots in Tier 1 test rugby.
No wonder they got their shit pushed in by England, the Wallabies are fucking garbage.

Agreed. It's a bit of a pattern too. They are getting sucked into a scrap. Or maybe the other way around.

Hey do another high tackle, Australia. How could it possibly fail?

Coleman is a disgraceful idiot, and Cheika should have his head checked for insisting on selecting him ahead of James Horwill. What does he actually contribute other than shitloads of penalties.morepork wrote:cashead wrote:I kind of doubt it's a "clumsy challenge from a tall man," when the tall man in question is the same dipshit who thinks that being an enforcer is synonymous with being a thug.

Ball went towards Argie physics during a break in play, and Nick Phipps saw that as an invitation to give him a shove.

Re: Los Pumas vs los Ualabis
They just seem to push one pass too many. Lots of times when a bit of patience would have likely led to a score.

They're trying to do stuff that they're not actually skilled enough to do at the moment.morepork wrote:canta_brian wrote:Not unless watching Argentina butcher try after try floats your boat in a big way.Lizard wrote:I've recorded this one. Any point watching it?

Re: Los Pumas vs los Ualabis
Agree with the above comments. Argentina had their chances to win this game. but dropped passes and pushed passes at crucial times. It's a shame that they've ended up at the bottom of the RC table, with only 1 win. On the face of it it's been an unsuccessful season. I actually think they've played well and with great ambition a lot of the time. I think they've been better than South Africa, and closer to Australia than the scoreline of their games would suggest. They've got some good players, and I hope they continue trying to play in this style.

Re: Los Pumas vs los Ualabis
I can understand what (I think) Argentina are trying to do, which is to cultivate a mindset and culture of adventurous attacking rugby, in the expectation that their skills will eventually catch up to their ambition (and that suffering a few losses in the meantime is a price worth paying). In fact, trying these things in matches rather than just in training will speed up the whole process.
The alternative, if results were the focus, would be to stick to traditional strengths and only chance your arm when games are in the bag which would be almost never in the RC. This would favour conservatism under pressure and ultimately lead to selection of players unable or unwilling to try a more modern approach, no matter how much they trained for it. (See Italy in the 6N, Gatball, SA last Saturday for examples.)
