Any shoulder injuries probably due to the incessant arm flapping at the ref after his head tackle fails.whatisthejava wrote:He tends to use his head to tackleBig D wrote:A lot will depend on who the starting 10 is likely to be. If it is Ford, then Farrell or 1/2P will need to play.
10 is going to be interesting. I am not sure Sextons body will hold up on a Lions tour he seems to get injured a lot these days.
Biggar also could be prone to this.

All a muchness , Straus is preferred to Wilson and we also have Bradbury who may grow into it but realistically Bradbury is a bit to small and the other 2 don't have the ability to take a huge step up for international levelcashead wrote:The Home Unions are pretty spoilt for choice for quality 8s. Cornell Du Preeze is still there but I don't really see him being anything more than a Mtt Mustchin journeyman
Quiz of the day - How many caps did he get and what head coach used him
No googling

Are you sure? Is he not 6ft 3 or 4 and about 18 stone?whatisthejava wrote:All a muchness , Straus is preferred to Wilson and we also have Bradbury who may grow into it but realistically Bradbury is a bit to small and the other 2 don't have the ability to take a huge step up for international levelcashead wrote:The Home Unions are pretty spoilt for choice for quality 8s. CdP may not make it at international level (wouldn't surprise me either way) but harsh to label him a journeyman IMO. When fit over the last two seasons he has arguably been Edinburghs best player.
Hadden capped Mustchin IIRC. I will say 2 caps but will probably have more. Don't think he was good enough to be capped.

Bradbury has only recently turned 21 and is 6 foot 4 easily - possibly taller. He needs another stone on him but the weight is pretty much irrelevant at this stage in his career.
Small. Get to f*ck.

Correct as far as I can tell, I do think he was good enough to get capped, remember at the time we had Cloud, Kellock and not a lot else, Richie Grey wasn't on the scene yet and Hines had also just retired

Hines came back to play for Hadden did he not? I thought he fell out with Williams. Murray had just retired IIRC.whatisthejava wrote:Big D wrote: Hadden capped Mustchin IIRC. I will say 2 caps but will probably have more. Don't think he was good enough to be capped.

We had no real depth though; Hamilton,Hines, Kellock, McLeod and White played the odd game there at club level, not sure if he did at international level.

Played RG 2 , SA 1, NZ 1 and Canda
Won 3 lost 2
According to his wikipedia article he still plays for Edinburgh rugby
Poor show that he can't be bothered to update his own entry

I don't beleive for a second that Bradbury is nearly 18 stone. Rugby seems to be going a bit like WWF in embellishing all these guys' physical stats.
That's not meant to be a sleight on Bradbury. He actually looks weirdly similar to a young James Haskell, who then stacked muscles on until he loat absolutely all mobility. Hopefully Bradbury bulks up but keeps a bit more balance to it.

You shouldn't update your own wiki, it's a conflict of interest. In fact I'm fairly sure they have a page on it.whatisthejava wrote:5 capsswitchskier wrote:Mutschin only played a few times (3?) but if I remember rightly picked up a motm doing so.

Brian Moore now calling out Davies as well about backs play.
If only we didn't have Nicol who is as bad.

I know it's only Georgia but both Gray boys, Seymour and Hogg put in good claims today. I still think Hogg needs to have a solid 6N from a defensive POV to convince Gatland that he's worthy of a test spot instead of a mid week place.
Ford was also very good but unless he plays like that against the big boys consistently he won't be anywhere near the party.

Saw this stat on Jonny Gray.
Incredibly, Jonny Gray has not missed a tackle in 750 minutes of test rugby.
If that's true then that is amazing.
