I wish Visser could do clever kicks, miles of space behind the defence and Hogg was gagging for it.

Either way the boys did very well to escape that period of pressure without leaking any points but at the end of the day it could have been avoided by doing the basics. I cannot believe restarts have not been worked on after the nightmare at the RWC.

Other teams will take full advantage of free ball in our half after conceding a penalty kick, yellow cards, missed tackles galore & consistent offences in the danger zone. Parisse seemed to stop talking to Peyper around 15-20 mins for some reason, other captains would have been in his ear about the crap we got away with that close to our try line.

I don't think Italy are THAT bad, they play some good rugby.

They're bad at converting pressure into points. The backs they've got now are a lot better than those they had a few years ago but they've lost that edge in the pack now. They got absolutely monstered up front today. I rate our forwards but not that much!

Thought the first half was entertaining. Both teams were chucking the ball around a bit. Second half sunk into typical Scotland v Italy territory. We made hard work of it when it looked like we were going to give them a doing.

Wilson was decent I thought. Better than Dents so far.

Barclay looked like a man with a point to prove. Plenty niggle and passion. Thought he was MOM.

Wee Greig is frustrating but like the WC he took that game by the scruff. He out captained Parrise I reckon.

Bennet is out of sorts.

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing is murder them in the scrums. Also thought Peyper let them hold on far too long at the breakdown.

I'm sure 'baw jaws' will be along to bore us to tears with his cryptic pish banter soon enough.
