Maybe, but 15k should be possible. They have time to market it. I'm sure weegie fans will try to pop over as well. Rare occasion for Scottish Rugby, even if it's just the Challenge cup.

One of Edinburghs many problems is what little quality (and it is little) they have is concentrated on too few positions. I really think they need to trim some positions and lean on the academy more.
One of the many things Glasgow do better than Edinburgh is budget allocation on players.
Manu, Hardie and Gilchrist are all towards the high end of Edinburgh contracts that arguably aren't 1st choice XV players when everyone is fit and on form, or it is pretty close so is the value really there.
It would be nice to retain Hardie, but the money he is on could be used to strengthen elsewhere. A back up 7 doesn't need to be on that much.
Manu has been pretty much perma crocked. With the emergence of Bradbury and the ability to get Miller in the mix next year is he really needed on that money? Then there are the academy guys Gordon and Crosbie who they shouldn't be afraid of using if need be.
Gilchrist has offered nothing despite his wage, he is arguably behind MacKenzie on current form. Start giving Carmichael gametime and look for an alternative.
Of players under contract, Rasolea has been pish, and I doubt he's on peanuts. I wouldn't be against calling it quits with him if it can be agreed.
Perhaps more controversially, is it time to let McInally go? Cochrane and Ford provide old heads with Turner there as 3rd choice.
Here's a question. Should the academy players be transferred to full time contracts after a set number of games. McCallum has done a lot on an academy contract.
