It sounds like the White House is currently an awful place to work, and it's being barely held together by Reince Priebus and Mick Mulvaney.

In the meeting or the photocall?

Both situations are believable after watching the following:

Merkel is responding in German to questions from German reporters and Trump looks a bit miffed. He even looks towards the left at someone, then turns back and seems to shake his head. 16s in and it looks like Merkel leans across and asks about a handshake in response to the press calling for one and Trump just ignores her. The look Merkel gave is similar to that of a parent trying to reason with a child having a meltdown in public.

In other news, Trump's administration are talking up the possibility of military action against NK.

Gotta love their style of diplomacy.

It's almost as it everyone in the Trump cabinet from the top to the bottom has some form of Tourettes. They just say the first thing on their minds, regardless of how ridiculous or counter productive it sounds.

I'm guessing that's what the people that run the twitter are referring to.

On what basis can a president be impeached? General incompetence obviously isn't enough, I wonder if a lack of mental capacity could be proved?
25th Amendment could potentially see him removed, but it requires a congress that isn't occupied by a bunch of craven, pusillanimous fuckheads.

I'd imagine it's something that Abe may be pushing for. He's likely on the way out of office for some other LDP shithead, since his attempt to amend Article 9 is blowing up in his face.

Of course, it's probably as good a time as any to have a hard word with Kim, seeing as how he's fast running out of friends internationally - Malaysia are fucking pissed at them for the Kim Jong-nam assassination in KL, and it seems China are also getting sick of his shit as well and may have a ready-made replacement for KJU in the form of Jong-nam's eldest son, Kim Han-sol. You may remember him as the lad who popped up via a video released by Cheollima Civil Defence, an organisation that aids DPRK defectors and is allegedly getting financial assistance from the Chinese, Dutch and the US governments.

Trump has probably already changed politics, or at least the modern-day, media-facing aspect of it. Seeing that you can just bulldoze your way through these situations without thinking or even being able to coherently argue your case (correct or otherwise) has really highlighted how nonsensical some of these systems are. You can't catch him out because he just doesn't seem to care. It's kind of fascinating.

Long-term I'm sure there will be some good to come of this. I thought the last general election here was bad, in how much I felt like I was watching Celebrity Big Brother or some awful TV talent/popularity contest, but this is insane.

At the same time, it's hard to be bothered to hate him or really follow what's going on anymore. I feel very conflicted about even enjoying the mocking of him. Watching John Oliver rip into him is occasionally entertaining but makes me feel a slight shame as if I'd been reading Daily Mail articles about the Kardashians.

What a goldmine for the media though.

If you'd been reading Private Eye for the last 20 years,.........you'd know this is just standard. The reality tv bollocks is a bit new but it's all part of the same personality politics balls. We call morally decent politicians 'conviction politicians',....like it's an insult. That's fecked up shite.

I had a problem with all the begetting. Mind you, Ulysses wasn't much better.
Funnily enough I once had to separate two Irish blokes having a fight about whether The Idiot or Crime and Punishment was the better novel in the back of my cab. I waited until The Idiot had won and then separated them.

Considering his comments about China, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a ploy to get China to react, so they have an excuse to cross swords with the Chinese. The last thing the Chinese would want is the US knocking about on their doorstep, and considering how often neighbouring countries have copped a few stray bombing runs, they'd start readying their own troops.

It would then give Abe a reason to push through the Article 9 amendments, and while Japan and China are trading partners, their diplomatic relationship is fairly frosty and low-key hostile.

I doubt Trump has any ploy over and above what he has been told, which means a bit of good old military-industrial expansion. Tillerson is in Asia right now, Goldman Sachs are advising on domestic financing (otherwise known as moving in on public wealth), and Grand Wizard Bannon is furiously pitting all against each other and shouting down the media with his flesh drones. Trump thinks he is on a reality TV series where his family are royalty.

Your fucking obsessed man, why don't you sign up with hezbollah, you might get a chance to lob some shells or mortars over the border into Israel.
So by pointing out Trump is going to slash foreign aid and spending on American families, while continuing to send billions of US tax-payers' dollars to the brutal Apartheid state of Israel, I am obsessed and ought to sign up with Hezbollah - whereas your denialist approach to all this is perfectly normal?

Ooookay

Incidentally, Hezbollah was created in 1982 to defend Muslims within Lebanon after an horrific massacre of thousands of Palestinian refugees by Christian Falangists and Israeli military, amid wanton rape and torture and mutilation. The victims, as usual, were women, children and elderly. The international community, as usual, did nothing about this. You, no doubt, would have gleefully participated in it, judging by your comments

What a load of old cobblers. Here's the real story, quite different from your home made fairy tale.

After the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982 in support of the Free Lebanon State, Israel occupied a strip of south Lebanon, which was controlled by the South Lebanon Army (SLA), a Lebanese Christian militia supported by Israel. Hezbollah was conceived by Muslim clerics and funded by Iran primarily to harass the Israeli occupation. Its leaders were followers of Ayatollah Khomeini, and its forces were trained and organized by a contingent of 1,500 Revolutionary Guards that arrived from Iran with permission from the Syrian government, which was in occupation of Lebanon at the time.

Have a listen to this, you'll enjoy it. I love the way they roll their Rs very impressive.

Really? Ok. We left from a USAF base near San Francisco on a military flight. We stopped at Hawaii for fuel and then again in Japan(IIRC) for fuel and crew change. We then headed South to Australia, with one more short stop, IIRC, for fuel. The aircraft was a VC10 and this was in 2003 or 4 if memory serves; if that makes any difference.

For your calculations, the key element would be the leg from Hawaii to Japan, which is where we cross the international date line.
If you trace your journey on this map you can see that you wouldn't fall off the edge, what was your route back to the UK?

How is it possible to fly direct from Johannesburg to Sao Paulo in only 10.5 hours? And from J'burg to Perth in only 9 hours? Yet it takes 11.5 hours to fly from Jo'burg to London.
They advertise direct flights between these places, but they are fake flights, when you come to book, they will come up with some excuse and your flight will be changed with a stop over, they have to do this to disguise the flight time. Flights from Perth to SA always seem to stop over in the middle east, seems like a strange detour to make when you look at the globe, but makes perfect sense on the flat earth map, as the middle east in en-route. Flights in the southern hemisphere between the continents are much longer on a flat earth than they are on a globe, which is why they all have stop overs.

Right, so even in your view of things, Hezbollah was created after an Israeli invasion of Lebanon (and you can't deny massacres such as the one above, since it is not in dispute and never has been). Either way, they immediately proved to be very adept and courageous fighters, overcoming their US-backed Israeli counterparts on various occasions, at times not even bothering to take captives; just telling them to get off their land. But they're Muslims, so in your view they must be evil terrorists, right?

If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

SAA has a flight tracker that allows you to follow the status of their flights, and it seems that both the São Paulo and Perth flights have been operating without cancellations or rerouting, certainly in the last week. Are you now going to say that SAA issue false flight status information from their automated system to maintain the deception ? What have they to gain by doing so?

So today Trump is rolling back on the half hearted apology to HMG over the GCHQ claim. Apparently it's all Foxs fault all they did was repeat it.

Still no evidence on the wiretap claims. Yet trump won't let that go. Having said that, the strategy of spreading enough shit to hide your own sins is probably going to work with his core support.
