All Black's coaching succession
Apparently Shag is considering extending his contract past 2017 through to RWC2019. I've got no big problem with that as long as he doesn't develop Bored Coach Syndrome and start playing fullbacks at centre, and dropping in form players for project players etc. However, I would like to see a bit of succession planning and get someone into his team who can take over. I think one of the reasons behind Hansen's unprecedented success is that he was already part of the team systems and culture. Barring a massive change in fortunes, we are not going to need a New Broom in 2018 or 2020, but rather a continuation and evolution of what is already in place.

It would be interesting to see changes made between now and 2017 in the backroom staff. I suspect there may be some changes post-Lions around him. Short term though, I would like to see whom he gets for the scrum coaching role. Top of my wishlist would be Marc dal Maso.

RIP Eric Watson (ABs coach 1979, 80)
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

Fulltime or as a consultant? It's not going to be easy full time with the language barrier. Also, I've no idea where he is with his Parkinson's condition, but that might sadly be an issuecashead wrote:It would be interesting to see changes made between now and 2017 in the backroom staff.
