depends on what's happening around them. I've seen a bit more of Hill than Devoto, but I think Devoto has a bit more time on the ball and his distribution appears to be a bit better.

Not really sure - you know what our lot are like regarding keeping contract lengths secret! It's not really clear whether he's on the books for next year.

As Diggers said, worth a punt, but it's beginning to look like it just won't come together for him here.

He signed a 2 year deal with Tigers I blieve, although in this day and age doesn't mean he will be here next season though.

Ref has two rule books, one for Tigers and one for Chiefs, talk about a homer!

He was doing reasonably well up until the period where he should've given Exeter a penalty try and issued a yellow card for an obvious offside, then compounded it by not giving a yellow card and penalty try for an even more obvious deliberate knock on. It was embarrassing watching it as a Leicester supporter; I can't imagine what my reaction would've been if I'd been supporting Chiefs.

Seeing how knackered our defence was in the last half hour, a very good case could be made that an early penalty try and us playing with 13 for 8 minutes would've turned the match.

I'm not sure the first would get a penalty try awarded, it might but I could understand a ref being hesitant with the players back, the 2nd should have been a pen try, and both should have been yellow cards. I'm not a fan of either side and I'm still annoyed at just how the ref and the many assistants managed to get some big decisions so badly wrong, and watching it back again earlier I'm still amazed it was so loused up.

Does anyone know what will have happened to Carley (the ref) this week? Obviously he's excused having to give an explanation to the fans, and we don't hear a peep from the PRU (Professional Referee Unit) either. But does he get stood down, or get games more toward the bottom of the league, and indeed should lower placed teams be so punished?

I also still think refs should speak to the media, not straight after the match when emotions are running high, but on a Monday or Tuesday perhaps after time to look over the footage, and be prepared to explain what they saw and why they arrived at certain conclusions, and if they were wrong to say so. And if the refs aren't going to do it then their bosses, a Spreadbury or Morrison should do it.

With 6 Prem matches and 3 internationals, I'm not sure RFU could really afford to completely stand him down even if they wanted to; probably the most they could really do is give him a TJ's flag.

I'm hesitant about a ref being stood down, and being handed the TJ rule would count, because we could easily end up with demands after every game for that from both sides. But they've got to demonstrate better decision making than we saw in the Tigers Vs Chiefs game (and actually the TMO should be getting a bit of a kicking too), and there should be an explanation to fans as why various decisions were arrived at.

The average person missing it I have no issue with, a referee is a problem, a professional ref missing it just shouldn't happen
