What a player.
MOTM stuff from Keddie.
We've lost all interest now.

We could cough a few more up here. It has been an absolutely soul destroying performance from England.
Wales have smashed us to fwck.

Does Lancaster coach the U21s now?

No, I think the only RFU coach more maligned than him is in charge of this lot.Buggaluggs wrote:Does Lancaster coach the U21s now?

Seemed fair to me. You can't judo throw someone in rugby as it's dangerous play. Not seen very often in the men's game, as there's rarely that kind of gap in physique.WaspInWales wrote:Seems harsh that. The tackle went bad but absolutely no malice.
No sure it was even a penalty??
Dreadful performance by England though, made worse by watching the recording shortly after watching the Quins vs Bath game. Quite aside from the rugby, the presentation reminded me why I'm thrilled most rugby isn't on Sky anymore and the know-nothing commentary team spending the full 80 minutes fellating the Welsh really got on my wick.

I was there and able to "enjoy" the live match experience.
Jeez we were awful. WiW mentioned braindead above and that sums up a lot of what was on offer. I've never seen such an abject effort from our u20's. We were naive, tentative, error ridden and lacked any kind of fluency in attack. Our kicking game was markedly inferior, our chase often non existent, our clearout work imprecise and some of the option taking......even when we had a numerical advantage and it was on to move the ball, we went the other way or kicked the sodding thing.
Difficult to highlight one of our players who looked like he could press on even at club level.

It looked a lot worse in slow motion. In hindsight, it was a bit dodgy but only because the 'tackle' ended badly. It could've hurt Protheroe but in this instance, I think he was just thankful that knocking on so close to the line didn't result in another try!Puja wrote:Seemed fair to me. Funnily enough, some thought the commentary was completely bias towards England.

How many were we missing to club commitments?
More importantly, would it have made much difference as those Welsh lads looked more than capable of beating much better teams than England last night.
That 8 looked very impressive carrying.

Walker J, Walker B, South, White, Bainbridge, Maunder, Mitchell, Brophy Clews, Williams, Mallinder, Marchant, Prell were missing for one reason or another and would be likely to be either starters or at least in the 23.WaspInWales wrote:How many were we missing to club commitments?

We were seriously understrength against a very well organised, smart and physical Welsh side.
That said, we were still very poor.

Quick question to those more knowledgeable:
Is this a poor year, a young year, or a poorly coached year?

We'll know where this team is at the JWC, when they should have most players available and will have a new head coach in Martin Haag.
