I'm starting to think humour might lose a great deal in the dropping of the u.

I get that a row of girls' pert arses might titillate, but I'm not remotely sure why one might consider it 'funny'? Female nudity may once have been a matter of fun, and indeed the Carry On, Confessions of ... and Benny Hill franchises prove that it was lucrative. But I would like to think that since the 1970s we have moved on substantially in terms of our cultural development. It is no longer acceptable let alone 'funny' for fat, old wankers to prey on or drool over young, attractive though quite obviously mentally retarded young girls. In short, I do not find female nudity funny. I find such postings extremely dated, sexist and deeply offensive - and I would also suggest that they should be masked as NSFW.

With this avenue for pubescent release now closed, the higher cultures have evolved down one of two routes in terms of providing an outlet for their puerile humour. The first of these is the old favourite of insulting those who are different. The French and Danish like this, and that's why the offices of Charlie Hebdo got shot up.

The rest of us tend to simply substitute the outdated obsession with nudity with a hugely incongruous use of extremely rude words.
