Just watching it now.
Haskell should be grateful for that yellow, his brain was completely gone, and give him another 5 minutes and he'd probably have gotten himself a red; Marler did basically nothing, then followed it up basically nothing, talking to the ref that way.
I'd have reversed the penalty for Care's further goading whilst the brand is on his way to the touchline though.
Laurence really needs to find his other eye.

Was it goading? I really don't think that's what it was but maybe that's just me, I thought it was quite sincere. I feel like there was an angle you could see Care's face on TV yesterday but it looks pretty innocuous here.

I've got to say though that from Haskell's POV it looks far, far worse on a re-watching. Several attempts to shove his elbows/forearms in Marler's face, a lunge for his throat, talking to the ref like that and then shoving the opposition captain right in front of him was just insane. He's actually pretty lucky.

I thought Care was being sincere. They're pretty good mates, I believe.
It was all very football at times. Players acting like 6 year olds, talking back to the ref, players being boo'd. Not a good look.

You could well be right on Care there.
A more... officious ref could have given Haskell 2 yellows during that lot, 1 for the throttle, and another for the talking (not without a warning though)
I still don't think Marler did anything much - bit twattish, but then, they're both twats, so it's to be expected. Marler's hardly the first player to slightly skew someone's scrum cap (throttle my arse), Hask's response was completely disproportionate with those elbows to the face/throat.
The water is a complete nothingness; and certainly doesn't deserve throttling for (though TBH, both players DO deserve throttling on general principles).
Then that talking to the ref is well out of order - if I'd been the ref there I'd have asked him if he wanted a different card colour.

If Hask had stayed on, he'd almost certainly have been earning a red at the next breakdown.
