Toomua is making a big difference to Tigers too. His defence is genuinely outstanding. I'd never really appreciated how physical he is.

He wanted Wells or Williams back on the pitch as they had passed the HIA and the time was served but the officials where saying no.
He did have a point - Wells left the pitch at 69.30 and the final scrum was at 79.40, so if he wanted to bring him back on, that was his right. Considering that Leicester had Malouf flanking on the side of the scrum that collapsed for Steenson's bonus point penalty (due to a frankly bizarre decision to have Youngs be the HIA sub for Wells), it might've been an important point.

Doesn't mean he had to be a d*ck about it though. Not impressed by that.

Nothings change in that regards him and cockers used to get in a fury with the officials.

Not really a bizarre decision to have Youngs go on as HIA sub for wells IMO either way you would either have a prop on the flank or a Wing on the flank (Who played flank in Aus for a bit) the trouble with having an extra prop on the field is that is one more fat guy for a quick guy to try an exploit and not sure if a prop would relaly help on the flank unless he knew what he was doing.
I guess it does make sense - bring back on a leader, have a second scrum-half which is always handy. Okay, I withdraw my bizarre. Although I'm baffled as to why we didn't let Jonny May pack down on the side of the scrum - he's got international experience there!

What did you think of Wells yesterday? He looked a menace in the loose and I think won three turnovers (Fantasy Rugby's preliminary stats say 2, but I'm sure I saw more). Hopefully should be the start of him growing into a useful player.

I thought Wells was bloody good. He always looked good for Bedford but I didn't think he was anything other than a good Champ/bottom of Prem player. If he keeps turning in those performances and rounds off a few edges I think he can become a very good Prem player.

Wells was outstanding taking the filling up the hole slater left nicely.
