I only have 3 subs left to play this week, but looking at our table and the lineups of the teams above and below me, I'll have moved up a spot or two on last week so I think this week will turn out to have been a moderate success.
Not for me. The loss of Genge and Brits, and having the latter as captain, has seen me drop more than 100 places in the overall leaderboard
I'm lucky I still have 5 starters to play tomorrow (unless, of course, they all drop out injured...) and 1 bench player. So I'm hoping I can catch up a little, but still. That's a big drop off. I'm only just above the average for the week.
I never worry too much about rankings overall until the end of the week, those who went above you, may not have any players to come. I've gone from 20th to 39th, and lost nearly 40 points from our leader, in fact only 2 other players in our top 10 have scored lower than me. Only 3 starters and 2 bench too still to come. Lost out on 3 starters dropping out at the last minute, and a bench player also scored 0.
Still it's a long season, and perhaps I'll pick some gems (certainly got Ribbans right in his first game, this one wasn't so useful).

The loss of so many points for me means that I will never challenge the top 5. There's too much to make up.

I wouldn't be so sure. It's a long season and the nature of the league, injuries, unpredictability and call ups mean everyone is likely to have some shockers. Perhaps you just got yours out of the way early?
To be honest, I don't care about the overall rankings as much as I do for our league. I'm something like 300th in the overall league which isn't exactly inspiring, so 8th in The Rugby Rebels Premiership feels a lot better! Also, I'm not going to be discussing the game with other people outside of the private leagues I'm in, so the overall league doesn't matter as much to me.
There's 400 points between my team and the league leaders. Theoretically, I could catch-up - this week, I have the second highest Game Week score so far this week - but that could change today (I'm only expecting another 20-30 points from my 3 Wasps players who are all on my bench) and I'd need be outscoring the leaders by 20+ points every week to do that. If you break it down, it's do-able and it could come down to stuff like the choice of captain etc. I guess.
The last minute drop outs really annoy me though - so far I've had Freddie Burns (x2) and one each from Billy Burns, Michael Rhodes, Matt Symons and Ellis Genge who were all in my starting lineups. Even if they only scored 10 points each, that's another 60 points I could have had, which is probably equivalent to a place or two in the league.

As things stand, I think if you can climb to the top of our league you should have a shot at doing well in the full league.

Ditto. I just want to stay in a respectable place in our league so as not to look more foolish than normal. Will probably end up 5th after this round, looking at who everyone else has still to play - I'll take European qualification!
The initial scores are in and Johnson has the lowest score of the 3 which is quite baffling from what I saw.
I can't recall Wade or Young doing anything that might have suggested they'd outscore him. Anyway, they managed to score me the sum total of 20 points between them (all were on the bench).
I really need to get better at selecting bench players who will actually earn double digit scores ... based upon the first five weeks, I'm lucky if two of my bench players score 10 points or more!
Weird week. Two drop outs and one injury half way through, yet I'm about the same distance from the overall leader and it looks like I've caught up a little in our league.
Slightly irritated I couldn't leapfrog Puja this week!
Sinckler was on my list of players to release for a series of single-digit scores before his moment of idiocy. Now he's definitely going.
I'm now debating how to replace him with. Koch was top of my list, but I wonder whether he'll be more of a boom/bust player as capable of an 88 point blockbuster as he is of 3 point anonymity. I'm potentially leaning towards a solid, double-figures regular like Harrison now.

Sinkler has leapfroged Beaumont for me, so he'll be off next week. Looks like I should probably replace him with a back rower given if Hughes is out of the AIs then I could see Clifford being at 8 see Simmonds being called up. This would mean I would be without those three plus Falatau. Making me the real victim of the England injury crisis. That's very worse case, but worth planning for.

I thought you were going to have me with your players left in the Wasps vs Bath match, but was saved by it being a particularly crap game and Underhill just notching up points solely through tackling.

Yeah, I can see Sinckler quickly shifting to the top of the "Most released" list.

Ha, I wrote that after his first great run that smashed through several defenders. He then went quiet and Wasps turned proper shite.
Are the points that come up for the bench players already halved?

The points do shift a little bit the day after a game, as Opta release preliminary stats and then finalised ones. Maybe you got a bit of a boost from the amendments to Saturday's games?

If so, the game week points must not have been updated yet.
I wasn't suggesting your table was erroneous, just that something seams odd. I think one of the scores, game week or total, might update later than the other.

I think you were actually ahead of me before this week started. I was 5th last week and 5th this week, so nothing much has happened for me.
