The Tank is back, Simmonds to bench, Salvi starting and Kvesic dumped.

Hardly dumped for Kvesic. More like "Still failing to make any impression on the matchday squad."

Real shame about Simmonds though. Maybe a rest? Or horses for courses against a big Montpellier pack?

If I were Simmonds I'd be fuming. Chance to show he can play against big physical sides lost just before Eps announced.

I'm hoping that's it's horses for courses, not sure it is though

i'm sure the Waldrom-Simmonds switch is tactical. i think the same is true of Francis-Williams. I expect both will come off bench at around the 50-55 minute mark.
Big test for Exe. If they are to be be serious challengers this is the sort of game they will need to get something out of.

He could probably do with a rest. He's played all the matches this season other than when recovering from concussion plus he's been concussed.

Another day, another abysmal and unforgivably bad TMO decision. A clear knock on leading to a try is just ignored. What is the point of having these people if they cannot make the correct calls with multiple camera angles and slo mo available to them?

Exeter into the lead. Far from a classic performance, but this'd be a great result for them.

John Lacey should not be allowed to referee games in France. He's such a homer at the best of times, but this is the second game in a row that he's trying to hand the game to the home side in a noisy French stadium.

And despite Lacey's best efforts, Exeter see it out. That's a great result for them, especially since the reverse might be a 5 point walkover if Montpellier don't have anything to play for. Could be two sides coming out of this pool.

MotM was officially Armand, but Slade looked brilliant. His running game was superb and I'm now convinced in him being a threat running with the ball, as well as a threat making room for others.

I'm starting to reach the stage of saying he perhaps shouldn't referee a game! Not that I think he's a "cheat" but Some decisions today were just so slanted and a couple not making any sense it could only be because he was swayed by the crowd.

A good result for Exeter. The next games will show how far they have come>

Fantastic performance by Chiefs. Hepburn and Williams were immense off the bench.

Terrific result for Exeter. Kept their nerve and composure to come from behind to take a deserved win.

Plenty of good performances. Armand rightly MotM - when does this guy ever have a poor game? He should be in the England squad. Slade will be and surely starting isnt far off. Simmons and Williams very good off the bench, as was Hepburn.

Tremendous performance by the whole team. The unheralded Steenson just keeps quietly doing the business.
