This season does seem insane. At the moment it's lucky if all your starters actually manage to start the game, its miraculous if none get injured during it.

I'm hoping VRR has a stormer today. I needed to replaced Sinckler, so I went for VRR ahead of Ross Harrison, who subsequently scored 52 points last night.

I still don't fully understand the points scoring though? Watching the game, last night Marler seemed to be a lot more prominent than Harrison. It's easy enough to make a direct comparison as they both scored a try each, but Marler was much more noticeable carrying and in defence. I guess Harrison played a few more minutes, but I can't for the life of me see why he was worth 20 points or so more than Marler?

Carried well though, which is the big points scorer for props. 1 point per 3m and 1 point per pass, plus 5 points for his try.

Going to be a duff week for me. Had two 0 point players with late withdrawals from Horwill and Veainu and a couple of single digit scores from players in my starting XV I expected to do a lot better.

I made Waller my captain on account of him averaging 40+ a week thinking it was a cunning ploy, only for him to score a measly 12 points. Not even good when it was doubled FFS.

I only have one player yet to play so even if they have a stormer, I’m still dropping a place or two.

So annoying.

I'm currently 9th in the gameweek league, unfortunately I have zero players left so I doubt I'll stay in the top 200.

Standard couple of injuries plus Northampton not showing up have really hurt me.

Poor week for me. 0 points for Horwill and Veainu and Waller chose the week I picked him as captain to pick up his worst points of the season (only 12 points before they were doubled - for context he’s been averaging 40 points or more). That plus Collins and Jennings making virtual no-shows has me dropping down the league.

I have Lozowski starting tomorrow and Johnson as a sub, but unless they absolutely tear it up, it’s a crap week for me.

The game does test your bias doesn't it? I was really annoyed when Exceter got White at the expense of playing young English scrum halfs. Yet now I'm equally annoyed when he's rested or subbed.

I had a similar experience on Friday night. Quins getting a bonus point win was obviously the first priority, but I always knew Sale would score and it was bizarre wanting my fantasy team players to score against my team. As it happened my Sale starters underperformed which was probably a good thing in real life, not so much in the fantasy world.

As I posted earlier in the thread, I don't think that the points scoring is reflective of actual performance. Toomua has been very good this season IMO - he's been massive in defence and his relationship with Ford is improving - but that's not at all reflected in his fantasy scores. One of the tricks to this game is sussing out which players score well. The top scoring players in each position aren't the ones you'd expect unless you're playing this game.

I just figured that if I lost Hughes, then Clifford and Simmonds would be safe. Due to injuries, it may not work out that way. Same with Sinckler and Williams. Figured I'd lose one or the other, instead I'm likely to lose both.

I got rid of Heem at last. Got enough for 2 players if need be, but I may settle for 1. A centre/winger/fb. Roko is an option, I'd rather a non International who can play 13 while Joseph is away.
