Rotten. Laidlaw missed at least two tackles there.

Giving Gatland the job after the RWC wouldn't be the worst move in the world. He'd at least drill some fucking balls into them and make them develop a backbone. They should be f*cking ashamed of themselves.

As low an opinion as I have of Price, even he would be better than Laidlaw at this point.

We've been shite for a while, even when dominating teams for 40-50 minutes we then have a wee mental breakdown for the last 40-20 mins and it becomes a one or two score game. Italy & Argentina come to mind in recent memory.

Toony is looking way, way, WAY out of his depth. What exactly is the RWC plan? We look beyond unprepared and do not have a game plan or brand of rugby that consistently works.
He’s relying on our passes being caught by our own players. Naïve or what?

He's responsible for subs or lack thereof. Lack of a plan B.

Employing the same D coach etc.

This game has still been there for the taking and waiting until 19min to go before making significant change is coaching by the numbers.

WTF are you on about? Catching all our passes wouldn't change a jot. He's responsible for no plan B. As the head coach he's also responsible for developing a game plan that this shower of shite can actually execute consistently. But aye lets pretend it's a few dropped balls that's the problem.

I will say, as shit as our overall performance has been, that was fucking massive defence right there. Credit for that at least.

Shades of '95 with Hastings run - at least he has his dad's spirit.Unlucky with that and Kinghorn breaks - support runs crucial for these rare opportunities...
Nige gets involved at t'other end..

Once again the 6n sucks me in to watch a game that disappoints. A scotland try is the only hope of making things interesting...

Well if this is a french try it will sum fucking everything up that is shit about scotland right now, slow telegraphed crap decision making on our own try line. Literally everything that is wrong with Townsends team.

That is the most brainless bit of play yet in a game of brainless play. Got away with it again though.

The lack of Watson, Russell, Hogg, etc just accentuates the lack of any game plan whatsoever. We rely on a big game from our big players to inject a bit of magic into the game to gain points/prevent a score.

The thing with other teams is you can rob them of their entire XV but they'll still play the game rugby with the replacements just delivered to a poorer standard. They still know what their roles are and exactly what to do. Us? It honestly doesn't matter - it's the same brainless, headless, moronic crap devoid of any direction whatsoever. Hogg just makes a worldie break here and there or Watson/Brown are super-glued to the oppo ball carrier on our 5m line to force a turnover and it swings things in our favour. Glossing over the bleak reality that we are actually beyond f*cking AWFUL.

And lets not forget that if Toony even has a semblance of a game plan, it's dependent on a running, snippy and nippy scrum half. Something he is apparently too f*cking thick to comprehend.
