With 4 teams not playing, it's an easy selection weekend, as every player for Newcastle, Leicester, Bath, and London Irish will now get the average points for the round (which is usually around 18-20). Frankly, given my selection decisions of late, that'd be an improvement for me.

Yep. I made a couple of transfers, but I have about 9 in my 23 who aren’t actually playing.

So far the three players I have who aren't playing and are on the bench have scored more than 8 of my starters

Why do I never learn and pick Sam Simmonds as captain. Every week so far, I've thought I was being clever by picking someone else and it *never* works out. This time I thought Quins would get a beasting from Bristol and picked Radradra who rewarded me with running some beautiful dummy lines, preventing a lot of turnovers by doing some excellent support rucking and demonstrating some world-class handling that, sadly, only scored as much as any other pass. I would've literally been better selecting an orange dot player to be captain. Or, you know, going with the crowd and picking Simmonds.

Simmonds still scored less than Randall, so he isn't always the answer!

I'm just having terrible week after terrible week. Caught out by having Jean Luc du Preez too, so that's a zero rather than a 10/11 for an orange dot

With you on Radradra. Sold a couple players just to bring him in, and it did not pay off. Waller failed to get into double figures again. Some of the scores seemed to vary massively during the games too.

You wait till the points are recalculated - I'll bet he shoots up.

Simmonds score actually stayed the same. Anyone who chose Randall would have been better off.

As for never learning ... I wish I’d learned my lessons from past situations on ‘average score’ players and picked more players that weren’t actually playing. So far, Simmonds, Smith and Lloyd are the only players I picked that got a higher than average score. Ethan Waller, Piers O’Conor (4pts each) and Andy Uren (0pts) were particular lowlights for me.

I would have scored quite a lot better if I’d played an XV of absentees, surely that can’t be right?

Bang average so far this week for me. My only saving grace is that I have 6 starters left to play today of whom 5 normally score quite highly.

Which of course didn’t happen. When 5 of your starters fail to hit double digit scores its a tough old game.

Not sure why I thought leaving Barbeary on the bench was a good idea. A mistake I probably won't make again for a while, mind

Very poor week for me, but TBH, it looks like that’s the case for most people. The highest points this week are 475 which is well below what it usually is.

Stacking my team this week with Irish, quins and Worcester players. Will be keeping Waller as he'll get his highest score of the season by not playing!

Another disappointing week, just can't seem to make consistent good choices across the squad.

I probably should class it as a comparatively decent week given I moved up by a good number of places overall, but 402 is still well below my average score for previous seasons. I had a good start in week one and then all downhill from there so far.

Good to see Switch Skier flying after making the play-offs last season.

I'd be in line for a pretty reasonable week if Willis hadn't had a mare. 4 missed tackles, 3 penalties conceeded and one yellow card. He's going to be dragging down the average score for Leicester and Northampton players

True, but then Odogwu’s points probably balance that out.

Willis and Hepburn shafted me this week. So neatly signed Odogwu but strengthened at lock instead, a player which failed to last a half.

Having had a rubbish start to the season, it appears one good week is all it takes for me to be back in the game. I bet big on Bristol players and it paid off. 489 points and 24th in the whole comp this week, taking me from 9th to 4th in our league and from outside the top 500 to 212th in the whole comp. John Afoa, you little beauty.

Me neither. Got shafted by the late withdrawals from Akker and OHC and the single digit scores (Spencer with another 0!).

I’m getting worse at this game week on week ...

Yep, already making changes due to a couple of injuries, an inexplicable overlooking, and Josh Adams being a tit

Finally got rid of Luke James, and he finally scores and has a decent game.

Question is, to sell Radradra or hold on to him for 6 weeks?

My best week in a long, long time in the Premiership game. 37th overall this week! And it moved me up a whole 2 places in our league!
