I guess Lawes is fit, then?
Don't think so. Prob Itoje, Launchbury, Isiekwe, Curry, Simmonds to start; looks alright.
Yeah, but that means Ewels on the bench…
You could have two back rows as Isiekwe could move up. Barbeary and Dombrand

Delighted for Pearson who i really like the look of.

Is he flirting with Isiekwe and Pearson, with Curry back at 8. Launch grunt back in the engine room?

What, with both Simmonds and Dombrandt on a 6:2 bench again?

Agreed. Pearson is emulating Kenningham by coming from nowhere and immediately looking to the manor born. He reminds me of Dan Leavy (pre-injury).
Harding is also looking very good, but I don’t see him as an Eddie style number 8. Although I would have said that about Tom Curry too

No chance if it happening, but now that Manu is fit again, how about a Slade and Manu centre pairing?

What happened to ted hill? Bad injury? He seems to have vanished from the england radar.

Why no chance? Or do you mean 12. Slade 13. Tuilagi?
I don’t know whether Tuilagi will be completely fit (if he ever is) but that probably won’t stop Jones either way.
Hill seems to be playing well, but has been ousted to 7 by Hatherall?

He's fit and playing consistently well for Worcester.
Jones lost interest in him after giving him 2 run outs as a sub.
Seriously good player who doesnt have any major weaknesses and has a lot going for him.
Beats me why he's been discarded.

Now we know where all of the injuries are coming from … the players are having to fight over a single potato.

He was fairly anonymous at the weekend. I think Eddie was interested when he played a couple of games at lock towards the end of last season. From memory he came off the bench to play lock in the summer for England.
Problem he has is that club mate Hatherall is having a storming season and plays pretty much the same position. Lawes is the preferred lock/6, Isiekwe seems to have come back into favour, Martin has been around squads and outplayed Hill fairly emphatically at the weekend (some huge hits) and now Chessum is in the squad and is a better lineout option.
He's good enough to get another go but probably needs to put in some performances that you just can't ignore.

Bit surprised(or perhaps not:)) that Warriors didn’t play Kvesic at 7 and Ted Hill at 8 in this interim period. Would have thought Ted Hill would be a better fit at 8 if he wasn’t being selected in his preferred 6 role?

Chessum and Heyes retained. Hmm interesting.
Lawes, Furbank and Freeman released to Saints in time for the East Midlands Derby and we get none of ours back, thanks Eddie.

Hope Pearson had fun and got a commemorative training top during his one day at England training! Not that I particularly think he's at all ready for international rugby yet, but it seems a bit odd to have him there just for the day.

You'd imagine it's a fitness thing for both of them. Although personally I think I'd rather have a half-fit Launch than a fully-fit Isiekwe.

Just need some game time? Though it is another chance to get injured.
Has Randall played enough recently?

We're left with 27 players.
9 front rowers, so 3 of them wont make the cut.
Itoje, Isiekwe and Ewels at lock
BR's Curry, Dombrandt, Simmonds and Chessum
SH's are Youngs and Randall
FH's are Ford and Smith
Centres Slade, Marchant, Daly
Back3 Malins, Nowell, Radwan, Steward
Chessum is going to be in the matchday 23
One back to be left out. Radwan, Daly or Nowell for the 23 shirt?

Randall must wonder if he's only good enough for a few minutes against Italy in Jones's eyes.
